Default F-Type Look-a-Likes

Saw this photo just now on Instagram. I really thought, "damn, that is one sweet looking F-Type" when I first glanced at the headlight area. So the question, what car looks most like the F-Type? I know that AM has similar design cues, but I think this photo is the most F-Type look-a-like I've seen. Or am I crazy?

For the convertible F-Type, I see a lot of similarities with the Ferrari California. My wife and I were driving through the Napa valley last weekend and I saw a Ferrari California that caused me to do a double-take. I was excited to almost report the first F-Type sighting in my area, but I was let down. It is amazing the similarities in the front and sides with the F-Type when the top is down. As much as I like Ferrari’s, the F-Type is way better looking in my opinion.

The last photo is the Ferrari California Merlin edition!

I think the California and F-type coupe are both spectacular in blue.

I've always seen a similarity between the F Type and the Ferrari F12.

Have to say the F-type looks a lot like the new Bond car.

Having driven the F12 and its predecessor, the 599 GTB I can attest that the are vastly different in both looks and the F-Type while I love its looks and its V8 it really is no match for the feel of that V12, the Ferrari interior luxe, suspension, handling, transmission...shall I go on?

As a previous Aston Martin owner I can also tell you that when your in an Aston cabin you know you are in a special place. Can't say the same for the interior of the Jag with the nasty vinyl, plastic and **** meridian rattling all over the shop. The Ferrari and V12 Lambos however are on another planet.

Do not kid yourself. In life, you generally get what you pay for.

Not the best angle to compare but here is my coupe next to an F12. I have other photos from different angles at home.

Obviously, it's a function of my personal taste, but I think the F-Type is far more classically beautiful than the F12. The Ferrari looks a bit like a cross between an F-Type and a C7.

You've never been in a DB7 then!

"nasty vinyl, plastic and #### meridian rattling" ? gee....since my F-Type has butter soft leather everywhere, no "nasty" plastic and no rattling from the sound system...I am wondering if my car is authentic?
The Aston Martins are an ergonomic nightmare compared to Jags - yes, beautiful leather but the overall interior design is overly fussy and clearly designed by a committee in disaray. The same holds for the Maseratis - beautiful materials but.....

All these other cars are cheap knock-offs of F-type. Pale imitations.

But you can certainly over-pay for what you get.

I do agree, though, that most cars like the Ferrari/Aston are better in many ways. But their are exceptions.

Ian Callum modified his AM work to come up with beautiful Jaguars, including the F Type. Ferrari frikken stole the F Type design but it's on the ROMA;

Yeah, they certainly know how to take a beautiful design and uglify it ...

Is it "a roma" 'cause it stinks?

Says it all wasn't it Enzo himself that said the E-Type was the most beautiful car in the world seems history repeats itself
