Default Anyone using dragy?

I’ve been toying around with dragy and did a couple runs with the Jag. I don’t enough drag strip time to compare the accuracy but I feel this will be a good tool to see how the car progresses with mods.

Stock SVR so far... DSC off, dynamic mode, paddle shifting, brake torqued to 2k.

What are your thoughts on the numbers?

Haven’t done the 1/4 with my Dragy, just some 0-60s. 11.5 is solid in my opinion though. My best launches came with TracDSC, Dynamic/Sport mode, manual shift in 1st and like you, brake torque to ~2k. Running a ‘17 R with PS4S tires. From what I’ve seen online (great video on YouTube comparing it to the Vbox), it’s pretty damn accurate.

I found the Dragy to be useless as traffic congestion makes it impossible to safely take any meaningful readings here on the East Coast. The only place to wind it out is in the backwoods twisties where the Dragy metrics are meaningless. The lateral Gs are available from the onboard display.

You’re NoVa, right? If you want to do some pulls, I recommend the GreenWay heading out to Leesburg as it’s never congested (watch for cops, though) and for 0-60 / 1/4 mile work, an industrial area (by Dulles) on the weekend - lots of long, vacant parking lots and streets.

Make that "..overly congested areas of the East Coast." and you will be more accurate. Within 20 miles of my house there are a multitude of lightly traveled, straight as a string highways where you can dragy to your heart's content--although a keen eye and radar detector are handy accessories.

Everything is burning here in California . I plan to leverage the smoke screen.

Down here in Arkansas, we have miles and miles of straight flat back roads. To find a good length without pot holes on the other hand...

I believe it’s worth it. I would never take my Camry to a drag strip but it’s fun to know that it’ll run it in a brisk 17.07 seconds...

Excited to see you guys post! As evidence against the nay-sayers who say a stock, AWD R can’t post sub-3.5 (granted with PS4S tires), here it is:

Yeah...I had a friend spend a day in jail for going over 90mph along that stretch on the Greenway. Not my idea of a fun outing. 😉

Wow, no fun at all. 40-70/80 pulls could be fun and relatively low risk. Guy in a M3 tried to get me to chase him on there the other day but when I realized his intentions were to go “jail speed” I bowed out - he had to have hit 150.

Separate note, took the car to Mason Dixon Dragway Saturday - ran the Dragy and showed 11.82 on my only verified run, while their system showed 11.89 - within a 10th for those wondering about 1/4 mile accuracy. Granted, not sure how often they calibrate their equipment and being in a corn field I kept losing sat signal (hence, only one verified Dragy run). Thought the car would run closer to 11.6 but despite attempting different launch techniques (except for auto, sport mode with no torque brake and pedal smash), I was consistently in the 11.8s - it was 90+ degrees for all of my runs with a preceding hour drive out there. Chalking it up to weather and not that I suck.

Not that I would really do it but I might have an opportunity to post the quickest 0-60 times.
Would just need to time it with hurricane Laura to get a 100 mph tail wind.
Best wishes to all the Jag brethren who are in the line of fire from this storm, she is not going to be a fun gal.

You might have trouble keeping the back wheels on the ground if the spoiler works properly!
