Default PAINT

I Have been trying to find touch-up paint for my 1969 XKE, without much luck. The factory color is “Cream”. I have found “Old English White”; however, it is much lighter than Cream. Any ideas?

You will probably have to go to a local automotive paint distributor and have them make up a small can for you using the original color code. If not by code someone there can eye ball the color by looking at a part you bring to them. Get ready for monetary shock. A couple of ounces will cost a lot.

I note you are in the Houston area. There are 4 Tasco Paint locations here. I live just West of Houston and have used the Rosenberg location for years on other older cars. There is a 50 ish year old woman there that can eye ball a color and mix it up perfectly if the part you take her is not faded.

If all else fails there is a local Houston E Type club that may have a source for you.

Yep most places would have you bring the fuel filler door or some other smaller removable piece and just blend to match. The OEM color won't be perfect after this much time anyway, you'll get a better match from a custom blend.

@craft here is another site that has a color called honey beige - might be close to what you need. Do you have the color code??

I also found this link from jag-lovers forum that lists the PPG 2680 or Glasso # 18442 for the Cream color
