I've just become the new owner of a 2017 SVR coupe. Long story short and for reasons not that important, the dealer I purchased it from had unplugged the Apple Carplay addon the previous owner added. My goal was to re-enable it after I got the car.

I need to get access to the unit between the seats at the back. Pulling the cover plate off isn't enough, I believe the after market wiring loom is underneath the "head unit" so I need to pull that out. In order to do that, I need to pull the center arm rest and cup holder section out. There are a few screws to remove from the sides and then I can lift it a couple of inches at the back. But that's about it.

Has anyone removed this section?
