Hello all, just joined forum as I've been in the decision process for months and after walking into a dealership and spotting what I thought was new turned out to be a 2015. Convertible S with only 6400 Km's and plenty of warranty it was too beautiful to walk away.
Cant wait till Tuesday.

Searching forum to see if it's possible to add side sills. I'd appreciate any feed back on this if someone has done it.

Yes, side sills can be ordered and installed. You have two options: MY2014-15 sills (properly proportioned , IMO) and the MY2016+ (larger and more flashy). Actually, I prefer the sleek look of the car without the sills, but that's just personal preference.

Congrats and welcome. Fair warning when you get it they won't be able to pry you out of it with a nuke. You'll be tempted to sleep in it.

 

Well I picked it up a day early and I love this thing! Looks awesome! Drives awesome and of course the sound. My God how do they make it sound so good? I bought it because of the way it looks but the sound....every friend loves the look and I say wait till you hear the best part.
Worth every penny.

I have some 2016+ R sills you can buy off me

Congratulations! I wouldnt get the 2016+ sills. I have them on mine - they stick out too wide and make the car look too fat, you have to throw your legs over them when getting out, and the water and dirt sits on them and makes mud. I like the earlier version better, wrapped in black.

Thanks for the advice regarding the sills. I do like the smaller ones. However I think I'm going to start with a legal tint on the windows, black power vents, 3m film on front and mirrors and my seat hoops are silver so wrap in black or carbon fibre if its possible.

 

Is everybody just ordering these new from the factory or is there a good aftermarket or online vendor to get them from?

 

I agree the sound is awesome. I keep asking wife if she needs anything so I can go buy it for her , milk, toothpaste, sugar , anything please...
