i have this color on my convertible and love it. beautiful in the sun and sinister in the shade. does show a lot of dirt so must be cleaned often.

Parked next to an Aston and Ferrari the other day and have to say the paint quality JLR uses is still rubbish in comparison. The Aston BRG was so damn good with a lovely candy coated quality feel.

I get a lot of compliments on my Black Amethyst convertible, especially since I had the wheels powdercoated black and the calipers yellow last summer.

According to the Monroney Label included that one is Ultimate Black and I'm inclined to believe that based on the photos, although it's hard to tell definitively. One way to be certain is to get a photo of the paint code in the sticker inside the driver's door jamb.

Thanks for catching that. About the only combo I don’t want is black/black. Just a personal opinion.

On mine it is black but with mucho sparkle/silver fleck which really stands out in direct sunlight, definitely not flat or "plain" gloss black.
I suspect it is the same for all coupes except those with special order paint.
