is there an oem gloss black rear decklid jaguar script and leaper emblem available? if not, what is the part # for the replacement? thanks buddy!
Someone else might have found those bits on eBay in black, but they are not available to my knowledge as an OEM part. The OEM parts in chrome (leaper and letters) all come with the same part number: T2R27585
No such thing as OEM black letters or leaper.
You can buy an after-market black leaper for cheap, and they are metal as opposed to the OEM ABS plastic, but they are fairly low quality, they are not quite the exact same size and shape as the OEM, it is very difficult to bend it to the right curve to sit flat on the spoiler, and I'm not sure how well it would stick with the tape on the back. For those reasons I did not use the one I bought, instead I removed the OEM leaper, painted it black, cut the mounting/locating tangs off the back and stuck it back on a bit lower than stock, having removed all the lettering (F-Type + Jaguar). I also replaced the chrome S badge with a black one (again after-market and not exactly the same size and shape as the OEM).
