There is no such thing as Chrome paint on this car. That is chrome painted plastic and it is more expensive to manufacture than black painted plastic which by definition make it less cheap,

Default Surefire way to paint over chrome
1) Rough item with red scotch pad.
2) Spray item with epoxy primer.
3) Finish item with color.
