Default Black Package Window Trim

I know you can find the fender and hood vents in black. Can you find the large piece that goes around the windows?

It'll be cheaper to wrap the trim; it's almost $450-500 dollars.

it also requires removing the fixed piece of window glass at the rear in order to replace the trim.

i didn't realize that. So it's definitely worth finding a car with that package already.

Asked the same thing at my dealer since I've already swapped out the other chrome parts for black. The quotes I got were approaching $2,000 before labor! So I'm going to have them wrapped instead

That is insane! Let me know what the wrap cost is.

What did it cost you to swap the other parts?

I'm getting the side sills, mirrors and window trim wrapped for $500 total. My car is white and I'm sick of seeing the dirt on the side sills!

Got the side vents for $230 and hood vents for $500 I think (the site says they're discontinued, which I find hard to believe)

Wow looks great! I have white too and mine is blacked out the same way but I wouldn't have thought to do the mirrors but I like it.

BTW, why don't you lose the front plate? I've been driving for years without it on my cars in NY and now in CT and never got a ticket. Once they were doing one of those road block things and the cop asked where the front plate is, I said it's in the trunk, he said ok you can go lol.

It's removable. I go to car shows in Long Island and the cops break ***** about things like the front plate. So it's on for the street and off at the shows

That sucks, especially since some states don't even require a front plate. Did they ever ticket you?

The only place I worry about it is when I park at the train station because the cops cruise the parking lot look for easy tickets to write, one after another. Fortunately they are also too lazy to get out of their car and look so I always park head in and haven't been written up in over 5 years.

Thankfully no ticket for me, but I've seen them stand at the exit of the parking lot and line people up for plates, inspection, etc

You don't ask such questions in polite company. Just nod and say: That looks really good.

In NY the tint can't be more than 30% i.e. must allow 70% or more light through. This year they also added that it will be tested for when the car is inspected.

The tint is 15% and yes it's illegal in NY. Inspection comes due in September so we'll see what happens. Sounds like I might be re-tinting the car each year since I can't stand to be without it!

Just put on sunglasses whenever you look at your car.
