Default Brand New Discounted OEM Carbon Fiber Engine Covers

Fellow Members,

This is NOT a post about the applicability of engine covers! Those comments can be shared on several other already existing posts. And I am fully aware of the hydrodip method so we don't need to go there either. It is a heads up that I found a small limited supply of brand new OEM Carbon Fiber Engine Covers P/N T2R8019 in the U.K. They normally sell for upwards of $2,500.00 however these few are available for $836.48 shipped.
I know that JLR in their infinite wisdom has placed several exceptions on these such as not for SVR's, not for AWD, not for V8's, etc. That withstanding, I have found that the standard plastic engine cover works just fine on my SVR and the Carbon Fiber variant has the same attachment points. I show my SVR at high end Concours d' Elegance car shows and therefore that is my justification. If there are others who would have similar interests in a genuine JLR OEM Carbon Fiber Engine Cover please PM me. They also have a sale on all of the other Carbon Fiber Bits as well. Once they are gone the price will go back up again...

Thanks!
Feral SVR

Thanks Feral,
I had given up hope on getting a carbon fiber engine cover because of the price but this is a great find and will look fantastic with the rest of my engine bay. No more cheap *** plastic!

The carbon fiber cover will definitely compliment your engine bay. My cover should be shipped on Monday according to Geoff. Your car looks fantastic.

I’ve blown my budget on modding my garden tractor, otherwise I’d be tempted.

But have you taken the engine cover off it or left it on, that is the $64,000 question.

I am not personally interested in this carbon fibre cover, but for those that are the description states

"For V8 Models Only
This carbon fibre engine cover provides weight benefits
and premium finish to the engine compartment."

Genuine Jaguar carbon fibre engine cover

may be worth checking if this is correct before ordering for a V6

That is the exact same cover as in Feral's post except the one in his post is CONSIDERABLY less expensive.

More weight benefits from just removing the cover altogether! (Cheaper too)

My SVR came new without engine cover and I like the look. Definitely prefer it to the plain plastic cover
Interested to see what the CF looks like when someone gets it installed

Does anyone here have personal experience with the vendor? The reviews tend to be either 5 stars or 1 star.

We will find out shortly. They are very responsive to emails especially considering the time differences. Great communications better than I can say for most places. But we will see when the parts arrive?

Hey Lizzardo,

Good question! Before placing my order I did some background checking and from everything that I have read they are legit. Proof of the pudding will be as Wayne stated, "We will find out shortly. They are very responsive to emails especially considering the time differences." I did receive a tracking number from TNT/FedEx today with a delivery date in two days.

Best Regards,
Feral SVR

I also did some background checks and am confident that they are a legitimate company. Because they are 5 hrs ahead of us sending a email early or the evening before requesting information, in my instance, gets a quick response. Geoff answered all my questions and my order was processed today. Hopefully I’ll have a email with tracking information tomorrow. We’ll see.

It's the no-middle-ground reviews that had me worried. It appears they've been around for years, but have had some recent incidents of what can best be described as "poor customer service."

Let's hope the one responsible for that has been shown the door.

Hi Feral I just received my TNT tracking number. I should have it on Friday. Geoff has been very responsive to my inquiries. You will receive your engine cover first, please share your photos and comments, re packaging and condition of engine. Thanks in advance.

If this question was for me the answer is no, it's real carbon fiber.
My order will be coming a little latter because I also ordered a carbon fiber console kit that they did not have in stock and have to get. I told them I can wait and let them ship it together, I'm in no real hurry.
