Proof positive that I could not come close to Frank's photographic prowess! To come even close to Franks ambiance, I'd have to have taken the cover over to my neighborhood winery! Well Done!
No kidding. Nobody likes a show-off but I usually receive my mail near the hangar where I keep my G6 and will post photos accordingly. Not even sure this is worth it even at the discounted price since it can’t be seen unless the hood is open (something only I will notice, but if there are only a couple available maybe someone would be willing to buy me out of it later. I’m still putting my Koshi order together for some exterior and interior parts.

thanks for the photos.
You could always buy one of those Chinese Carbon Fiber hoods with the plexiglass window in it? then you won't have to open your hood every time. :-)
Great photos Frank.

You sir have excellent ideas! Kidding aside, I like the way that hoods looks, just nit sure I want to go to the expense of $4k or so to achieve it - only to discover a year later, I don’t like it anymore.
OK, My turn. I don't have a wine cellar to show it off in but I'll try my best. Mine didn't have the shipping box edge supports and corner protectors but did have the Fragile tape all over it and did arrive unscathed. It is GORGEOUS. So on with the photo show:
Thank You Feral for great heads up. That was a great buy.

As unboxed.
Before Pic,
In between,
After and beautiful.
After from the side,
Now all I need is a carbon fiber upper intake.
Are your 2 side panels & radiator cover hydrographics or did you get them from Derek?
Absolutely gorgeous. Well done! Water/meth nozzle fitments are the only thing holding me back, I might be able to carve out room for them w a Dremel tool but that's an expensive experiment.
Looks great Wayne really finishes off your engine compartment. Maybe some photos of your interior with your new items installed. Great photos. Thank you Feral for the heads up on the engine cover. My engine compartment isn’t as well done as Wayne but it sure made a significant difference in appearance. Very pleased with the results.

I asked Geoff to let me know when the inventory of carbon fiber engine covers was getting low. I just received this email from Geoff this morning. So if you're still on the fence, it's time to make the decision while they are still available...

Hi Steve
Just a heads up – we are down to our last few carbon engine covers – once they go onto ‘back order’ i.e Jaguar have no more stock they may discontinue them – if they do get another batch made up it will be very unlikely we will be able to get a such a good price.
Okay, who is Derek and why are these other carbon panels not for sale anywhere? - yes, I am demanding answers.
Well you're demanding answers but I think it was the lack of demand is the reason that you can't find these carbon fiber parts anymore. Especially back in the earlier days of the F-Type there weren't that many of them and a lot of the forum members tended to be more performance oriented so you got a lot of comments about not spending a penny on parts that didn't increase performance or speed, so it just faded away. I think there where only a couple of these sold and I have 1 set. Derek probably lost a ton of money and time developing these.
DJS has a link to 1 of the post about the engine bay trim parts and Derek used to be a Forum Sponsor in the earlier days FrickenJag
Derek was an engineer that work in Aerospace and NASCAR and had his own engineering company. His web site is no longer up, so I don't know if he is still working. You can also find him on FaceBook but that seems to be several years old.
If he is still in business and you do want these parts, I would imagine that he still has the molds. But that you would have to put together a pretty good group buy to make it worth his while to produce them. If you want to followup with a group buy and YOU lead it then PM my your contact information and I will try to email Derek with it and see if he is willing to do it.
When reviewing the previous thread link (thank you) I noticed the dates. I was part of a start-up company with all initial efforts going to proof of concept and prototypes which are very cost inefficient. I would imagine the lack of recent discussion is positively correlated with the amount of interest and I don’t blame someone for not wanting to make one set and sell at cost and based on the prices I saw posted, I don’t know that I have as much interest in the parts at that or a higher price ether. Just thought maybe someone would be ready to part with a set (lease turn in etc). I bought the Carbon engine cover but I’m about 75% I won’t use it, but I hate to miss a good deal and figured I could get my money back selling it I decided not to install.
I decided that I didn't want to spend on the engine cover, but also decided that my hood vents were beginning to disappoint. I have the bright ("chrome") ones and there's some blistering of the metallic layer in a few edge spots. That led to this:
