Can the spoiler be disconnected?
Good day everyone, I have a question that so far, no one can answer. I have a 2021 F type R and the spoiler rising up as you hit 70 MPH, I really don't care for. I checked the fuse box hoping I could just pull a fuse to deactivate it operating (like can be on the Active Exhaust), but I could not find one. Any ideas on how I can disconnect that feature? Thanks!
Pretty sure it works the same on a 2021 as it does on my 2015, if so this post is a step by step guide as to how to permanently disable the spoiler: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...5/#post1614196
Only one "special" tool needed, a Torx "star security" TS27 bit, plus an ordinary Torx T30.
Yes there is a fuse but the same fuse is also used for the Dynamic or Snow/Ice switch so no good pulling that fuse.
Only three downsides - you will no longer be able to raise the spoiler to clean under it, but as it will no longer raise the underside can't get dirty anyway (duh!), you will get an error message pop up ("spoiler inoperative") once you hit 100 mph and you have to stop the car and turn the ignition off to clear the message, and the top speed will be restricted to something around 136 mph.

A wise decision. When airflow leaves the rear of the car, it fans out, creating low pressure and lift at the rear (up to 120 kg (264 lbs)) according to Jaguar. You don't want the rear going light at high speed, otherwise you'll probably disappear off into the scenery, backwards.
The spoiler creates a section of low energy 'dead air' between the spoiler and the rear window, allowing the high speed air to flow over the rear of the car relatively undisturbed. This means higher pressure air and minimal lift.
