Default wing spoiler

So if I was fitting a wing spoiler to my F-type is there a simple way to disable the deployable spoiler, e.g removing a fuse

Not quite as simple as removing a fuse but easy enough.
The fuse that applies to the spoiler also applies to a couple of other things that you don't want to disable.

Without seeing a cross section of that piece , it’s hard to determine whether it’s a wing or a spoiler. Based on the listing it appears to be more of an aesthetic statement than functional. Probably best to keep the OEM spoiler if you don’t want to lose stability at excessive speed.

Yep, it looks good.
The main downside I can see is you have to drill or "self-tapper" some holes in the spoiler lid to mount it (probably four, maybe two) and then what if you didn't like it and/or it fitted poorly? You would be stuck with those holes and you would probably need to replace the spoiler lid.
I for one don't like the idea of it being held on with self-tappers (and maybe some tape), proper bolts would be much better.
Also the pics and text in the linked ad conflict on the appearance of the two mounting posts, are they CF or are they black or grey primer which then needs to be painted?
We need a guinea pig to test it!

is there a way to disable the spoiler automatically being deployed but still being able to get deployed with the button?

I have the SVR style CF wing spoiler from Paramount Performance mounted on my F Type R coupe. I got the shorter feet so it’s about the same height as the SVR wing and what you have pictured above. The spoiler mounts through the original lid and is attached with bolts, not self tapping screws like the Chinese versions (scary).

I did have it professionally installed by a specialty shop. The factory spoiler has to be disabled. On the R, if you disable the spoiler by unplugging it, the car will be limited to 130 mph and throw a warning on the dash. The only way around this is to cut the rod that makes the spoiler go up and down, or install the Jaguar electronic unit that replaces the motor... this is what I did and it worked seamlessly.

NO I don't believe this is possible

Cambo has already answered that question (about a year ago I think).
He reckons it's not something that can be done via SDD or the CCF and it's buried deep inside the code in one or more modules.

Default Jaguar spoiler is now accessary in catalog

This spoiler does not require any mods to the car and the lifting motor is removed attached to piece so no cutting of wires.
