Default Can a Sydney member check out a used F-Type for me?

As per the title, I am seriously considering pulling the trigger on a used F-Type currently for sale by a Sydney based used car yard located in Rosehill.
This one: 2014 Jaguar F-TYPE S Auto MY15
Trouble is I'm in Adelaide so it's 1,400 km to see the car.
I would really appreciate it if a Sydney member could have a look at the car for me and preferably take it for an extended test drive.
I've done a tOPIX check and it looks OK so far.
I would like the early F-Type niggles and issues checked to see if they have all been fixed (or not!).
Also, judging from the pics, the front brake rotors have pronounced lips and are probably due for replacement. Maybe the same with the rears and/or both sets of pads. Maybe I can use these things to negotiate a lower price. I would also like the tyres checked out, although they look newish in the pics.
Please PM me if you are able to have a look at the car.

For such a stellar colour and it looks pretty reasonably priced, it might be worth the flight to go have a look? That looks like the one that was new at Sunshine Jag on the gold coast, I lusted after it.

Wow I just looked up the exchange rate on that price. Did I do this exchange rate right it equates to $98k US? For a 2014 with 17k miles on it? If that's correct I'm stunned and wow you guys really pay a lot down there. For that price I'd ship you mine!

Subject of an old thread: the importers there have to pay huge import duties to protect the local auto industry that doesn't really exist any longer.

Yep, even allowing for the exchange rate we in Oz pay double and more what you do in the US for so-called "luxury" imports.
A new F-Type R with just a couple of the nicer options is well north of $300,000 AU.
Anyway, it looks like I have bought this F-Type, I made the dealer a counter-offer and they went for it!
So I need to sell my current XFR asap, any takers?????

So it looks like I will be another Lunar Grey F-Type owner, a fairly rare breed I believe as JLR discontinued Lunar Grey a while ago and replace it with Ammonite Grey.
Only one other Lunar Grey owner on this board I know of, Biernut.
By some strange co-incidence the first ever XF I looked at when I was looking to buy an XFS just on three years ago was Lunar Grey.

Mine will be sad that her twin sister is moving on LOL! You, my friend, have great taste in vehicles (it mirrors my own so easy to say). Absolutely love that color combination. Gray and red just naturally go together in a a classy but exciting way.

Good luck with the new one and don't forget us on the X250 forum.

Thanks mate.
While I'm here, does anyone know how to tell for sure if the F-Type I am buying has the base Meridian sound system or the 770W "surround" system, without access to the car?
I have the tOPIX build sheet and it's not real clear, all it says regards this is "premium sound system". Is that the 770W or not?

Thanks Cam, good to know!
Now hoping that the issues with this sound system in the F-Type have been sorted on this car, but I suspect not.
I've gone through the tOPIX build sheet and cross-referenced it with the MY2016 Oz options price list (couldn't find an older one) and if my checking and arithmetic are correct this car has over $60,000 AU worth of options!
It appears that pretty much the only desirable option it is missing are the Super Performance brakes, but even then it might just have them.
No mention of brakes on the build sheet other than "brake calipers - red" and no pics of the rear brake rotors or calipers in the ad, so hard to tell for sure.
One more request Cam - the build sheet says "less SVP", but I can't find what SVP is, can you help?

If it is a 2014 V8S, it has Super Performance Brakes according to the 2014 sales brochure. Otherwise, if a V6S it has the High Performance Brakes unless otherwise specified.

I don't believe anyone on this forum figured out what SVP stood for. Perhaps your car was not originally delivered with any of the corporate senior Vice Presidents. Probably a good thing. Does your car have the Vision Pack?

Lance, it's a coupe, so it can't be a V8S. It's a V6S, same as yours except auto and a bit older.
I found a very short thread on here (2 posts) where someone asked what SVP was and same result, no answer.

The red calipers are the highest level brakes below the yellow carbon ceramic. My car is pretty much the same year but a convertible, I have the premium meridian sound and have had no problems with the rattles etc in the speakers. I suspect this is pretty much exactly the same spec and year car as mine except coupe.

Thanks Andrew, that would be great if it has the Super Performance brakes. Would make sense, as it has just about every other option and it was originally imported as a dealer demo, so why skimp on that option?
It's just that in at least the MY16 options catalogue there are four brake options, Base, Performance, Super Performance and Carbon Ceramic, and it shows that red calipers could be optioned on the Performance brakes as well as the Super Performance brakes, so red calipers doesn't automatically mean Super Performance brakes. Maybe the same for the MY15 coupe (this car), maybe not, who knows, I'll just have to wait and see.
This is important to me because my dastardly plan is to take the near new cross drilled and slotted brake rotors and pads off my XFR, put the stock rotors and pads back on, and then put the near new ones on the F-Type. Especially seeing as there is a strong chance that the F-Type rotors and pads are worn out or close to it. The XFR brakes are identical to the Super Performance brakes, but not the mere Performance brakes. The fronts are the same, 380 mm, but not the rears - 376 mm on the XFR and Super Performance kit, but mundane 326 mm rears on the Performance kit. Which means I would have to buy new matching 326 mm drilled and slotted rear rotors and new pads, which I would rather not have to do.

I keep forgetting that your 2014 model year is the same as our 2015 model year. (We had no coupes for MY2014). I suspect you have the High performance brakes (i thought the 4 levels were perf, high perf, super perf and CC) if not otherwise specified in the build sheet.

Do you have the vision pack?
