Can you hear the exhaust valves open?

So if the pistons on the exhaust valves are fully in, that means they are closed?(quiet)
Our idea of bypassing the solenoid switch to provide constant vacuum will keep the valves always closed?

Just look in the pipes. You can see with a light if they are open or closed. At least you can on mine.

You can’t see the valves on the V6…
Don’t know why the text disappeared. Top is V6, bottom is V8. Valves are before the muffler/silencer on V6.

So does anyone know if the valves are open or shut when the pistons are depressed?
