Had the CF center console installed and in person it looks just absolutely amazing. Very nice piece that gets rid of most of the cheap plastic in the center console except for the cup holder lid.
nice! what I notice too is in photos CF doesn't really stand out. One of those things that looks much much better in person. This is from personal experience, as I feel like my CF mirrors don't show well in photos but love them in person.
It looks nice, but so does the "light hex aluminum," which was came as a standard (no charge) selection in my car. It substitutes for the same CF bits you added, and no plastic there either.

Looks good with the upholstery.
Although - arguably - you've changed cheap plastic for expensive plastic.

+1. Never been much of a CF fan unless needed for structural strength. On the 2016 V6S, only light and dark hex is available. The solid color console may not be available anymore on any of the models.
Thanks for the posting that Schwabe... looks great!
Finally... I have been waiting to see an actual photo of the console piece. The accessory catalog has a tiny pic and it has shiny finish, but they have since changed it to the satin...and also raised the price! Maybe because they use the same piece in the Project 7. If you don't mind me asking... How much did you pay for the part?
I have switched my mirrors, hood and side vents to the CF and just received the console pieces last week. I am excited to put them on and complete the package. Did you do the install or have the dealer do it? It looks easy enough to do yourself.
Looks really nice! Is this only for 2016 models? What are the changes in the center console between the 2016 and previous models? Is it a drastic change? Because I heard it was significantly better than previous models

I don't think there are any physical changes to the console, just changed graphics on the display.

The cheapest price I could find was about $750 incl shipping here.
I asked my dealer if he could get close to the list price there and he said that on March 1st all prices went up for CF parts so the best he could do was $800, I believe list from Jaguar is something like $1,100. I rather have him install it then me save $50 and break one of the pieces as Jaguars CF is very thin and briddel. I have a new $3,000 front splitter for my XKR-S laying at home for when the crack in mine finally goes through and the pieces fall off.
My wife's car is satellite grey and I am currently replacing all the exterior pieces to chrome. Never added chrome to a car before, not really my thing. Bhe side vents were already chrome and the hood louvres plain black. The chrome blends in well with a light grey color.
The chrome hood vents have already been installed, next will be the mirror caps (which I first need to clear wrap) and finally the roll over hoops.

the car displayed is a 2014 V8S and the center console was plain matte black plastic like the top of the cup holder lid.
Looks like since then they made an either black/dark grey or silver patterned cover standard.
It's very odd that the 2014 V8S would have black plastic standard, while the 2014 base V6 would have the light hex aluminum (pictured above) at no charge.
Even stranger - my F-type brochure from spring 2013 only shows 3 console trim options - light hex aluminum, dark hex aluminum, and black hex aluminum. (I have dark). Even the interior Black Pack lists black hex aluminum console trim. I've never seen solid place, or that other pattern.
Looking for interior F-Type pictures I found most have the smooth black plastic. Might be all the same stock pictures, I do not know. Might also be that the textured ones are for V6 only, I also do not know. just looking at the the interior pictures on JaguarUSA I can see all three pictured.
Console finisher is only an option on the V6, looks like the V8s have no option other than the CF. In the configurator I can chose the finisher for the V6s but not for the V8.
My Australian delivery 2014 has the interior black pack and the console trim is the plain black plastic., the standard for that car is the he. I think.
It also deletes the S logo on the panel above the screen, which is a pity I think.
