Check engine flashing, white smoke and running really rough....
New to the forum and thought I'd share for anyone else running into the same issue.
I just picked up my 2014 F-Type V8 S a month ago with 45k miles. Driving the other day I got on it in sport mode and then the check engine started flashing, it started running really rough and white smoke out the back..... I was 1/2m from home so got it there and parked it. No overheating issue, no coolant or anything else leaking. First thought was a blown head gasket, but no shop nor the dealer have ever seen an F-type with a blown head gasket. Long story short, after towing to the shop - turns out, one of the injectors failed and spewing fuel into the engine. The white smoke out the back was fuel vapor... $1275 parts/labor to replace the bank of 4 injectors so not too bad.
as a side note - my god these cars are fun!!!! I've had an XK before, but this is a whole other beast!!!!

To keep those injectors clean in future you might want to periodically use a premium fuel system cleaner added to your fuel tank; Techron and BG44K are two examples. My Jaguar dealer uses the BG44K at every oil change. And you do use only a Top Tier premium fuel, yes?
Absolutely, I've only had the car for 31 days so just the getting her up to my standards in care. It was certified just a couple years ago and I also had the dealer switch out all the coolant hoses before I even got the car. It's clean front to back but those internals are tough to check ahead of time. I usually use Lucas in my cars, my nephew is a master certified Mercedes mechanic and that's what they use. Is BG44K better in the Jags?
As far as fuel - yes, always.

Whenever possible avoid operating the vehicle under conditions that cause the MIL to flash as catalyst damage is occurring.
Sticking injectors are rare, but can happen. Did the Technician also change the engine oil? It would be contaminated with raw fuel and can cause main and rod bearing damage.

my 16S had the same issue abt 2 weeks after I bought it, 2 injectors sticking, CEL flashing, running like crap, and smoke, and sounded weird. All replaced under warranty, it ended up also killing the cats since it dumped a lot of fuel and those both had to be replaced. It's happened once or twice since then, seems like a fairly common issue.
No, never heard of it before, but I'm a fan of CRC products as they almost always do what it says on the tin.
The SDS for this gear says it is 25 - 30% PEA so right up there with Redline, see here: http://docs.crcindustries.com/msds/1003859E.pdf
As per usual for Oz it's not stocked by anyone so I will stick with Redline and BG44K, at least they are stocked in Oz.
