Default Check engine light after short period of sport driving? Coincidence?

Last night I took the car out for a short drive, found a nice little stretch of road and put it in sport mode. Drove for about 20 minutes in sport mode, manual shifting, enjoying the ride and the growl. Nothing crazy, no problems, nothing out of the ordinary the entire drive. Woke this morning with the check engine light on. Car seems to drive fine on the way to work this morning. Oil level is full.
Taking to the dealer next Wednesday for diagnosis.
Any ideas as to what I might have done or is this just a coincidence?
I can let it sit this weekend, but I have to drive it to work Monday and Tuesday, a short 10 minute parkway drive, so easy on the car. Hoping that won't hurt anything.

Likely an 02 sensor...remember that if it is, these are covered under a 15 year warranty

That was my first thought too. I figured at 45K miles, it was due for one of those to finally go.

Get yourself a code reader and find out what has caused the CEL, it might be a simple fix.
I reckon a code reader is an absolute must for any modern car, I have been using one since 1999 and it has saved me heaps of money, time and worry, way more than the cost of the reader.
Plenty out there for modern Jags ranging from $20 Fleabay Chinese junk (don't buy!) to multi-thousand dollar shop quality gear.
I use an iCarsoft LR V2.0 atm which does 99% of what I need, now superseded by the V3.0 see here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/11486411386...3ABFBMxvmXoKdf
Well worth it for less than $200 US.
