Chrome trim
I am looking into buying a black Jaguar F Type (2015-20). I would ideally want one with chrome trim, but this seems to be an unpopular choice. Most people who buy black, get the black trim. How expensive or costly is it to change to chrome trim? Is it possible or too much of a headache usually?
I prefer the chrome trim on my Ultimate Black R but the dog legged section behind the door has faded and it now looks two tone with the section at the door glass still shiny.
Looked at buying new trim but, at the time, they were $990. Each.

If you're going for the bright window trim, you might also consider the matching bright grille surround as well. When I custom ordered my SVR direct from the factory, I wanted bright trim to replace the black trim which was standard on the SVR - and bright trim was not even an option. Fortunately, I had enough custom stuff that they didn't charge me for that modification...

I have been told (but do not know if true) that to remove the side rear window trim you have to get at it from the interior of the car.

Fortunately for me the PPF installer I went with didn’t insist on a fresh badge set. He re-used the original ones, something that some PPF installers refuse to do. Glad he did, as what a waste of money buying those badges would be.
There is a product called Hyperdip, which is basically a rubberized paint, that you can spray on chrome. The beauty is that if you don't like the results, you can peel the paint off without any problems. I used it on my old bmw Z4 badges and it worked great. I was going to spray my chrome wheels black but never got around to it before I traded the car for my Jag. So I've got five cans of the stuff in my garage.

Wow that looks great! Looks like the fender vent and window trim wrapped? What else? Thanks!
Yes I wrapped all the window surrounds, the side vents and also dark tint on the side mirror lights (also looked chrome), and the rear lower lights. And black painted (Had a Body Shop paint these) SVR hood grills and rear diffuser.
