Default Uneven tyre wear F-type (Pzero)

Hi all,
I've searched the forum but could not find any threads on this. I had the 4 wheels tracked/aligned back in the summer when I replaced the rear tyres with new OE Pzero tyres.

The car drives a LOT better now and no longer feels twitchy when going over surface imperfections. But all my 4 tyres are now wearing more on the insides, about 1.5mm above centre and outer rows after about 5K miles. I did not notice any uneven wear before the alignment.

The car has just done over 32K miles.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Have you hit any large potholes or anything else that could have thrown the car out of alignment since it was last aligned?

@cpq100 thanks and no, not really. The car still drives as well as it did after the alignment. I decided to book another alignment next Friday at a garage where they run the Hunter machine but I spoke to the manager yesterday and he said there's no camber adjustment on the rear weels just toe. I was kind of thinking the camber could be off.

They will check and see if anything is out of tolerance but I thought I'd ask the community in case anyone else had experienced the same or have another idea.

One other thing you could check is tire pressure. If that is OK then I would suspect it needs aligned.

While camber *looks* like it will greatly accelerate tire wear, it's really toe that is the bigger culprit. If the toe is off you're running a slip angle while going straight. It's odd that it's all four tires. Maybe the specs the first shop used were questionable?

When you have the car aligned, make sure to get before and after measurements. It'll be interesting to see what they are.

You didn’t by chance ask for a “better” alignment? If you came in with a specific complaint, the tech might have fixed that complaint. A performance alignment would be different than a “factory” alignment.

I'll try to find the detailed before and after report from the alignment done in May and I'll of course report back here once the alignment is checked and possibly redone on Friday.

Thanks.

Good shout but no. I didn't say anything at the time and I just recall that the numbers were substantially off. The car never pulled to one side when breaking neither was the steering wheel misaligned before the tracking. I had had the car for just 5 months at the time and the only thing I had noticed was that it used to get twitchy over parallel road imperfections which I thought was part of the F-type character. Since that was gone and the ride became a lot smoother and stable after the alignment, I assumed that it was job well done by the garage.

If I wasn't interested in checking the tyre wear regularly, I would not suspect there might be something off.
