Default Claws Out Mode Engaged

;-)

I followed Jag Bass's instructions to the letter and everything worked perfect the first time. Beautiful thing! Thanks buddy

And a special thanks to Mr Thunder Dump as well who was also incredibly helpful chatting with me about some of the smaller details around the workflow of the whole thing.

Cheers

Now you've got the best of all possible combinations. A quiet GT cruiser on the highway and a snarling beast on the back roads.

Absolutely. It’s gonna be epic. Once it’s all programmed into the Homelink garage door opener it has a nice overall feel. Love it.

What is it, and what’s it do?

Here's a thread that I posted a while back where I was originally asking about it...Everything is pretty much there...

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...estion-276272/

Basically it provides a way to keep the exhaust valves open all the time without needing to pull the fuse permanently to achieve that (fuse 15 on most cars). This is particularly nice on the newer variants of the F-type that do not allow the valves to be open below 3500 rpm (which really blows).

So with this "Claws Out Mode" setup that Jag Bass put together, you can have the best of both worlds with it in a convenient manner. You can run the car stock with the "fuse in place", or you can achieve the equivalent of having the fuse out without having to actually physically remove it each time that you want the valves open all the time...All with the press of a button to engage and disengage using that eMylo device (or equivalent). Making it even nicer is that you can program your Homelink garage door opener to control the eMylo instead of needing to have that cumbersome eMylo dongle around all the time.

Physically pulling the fuse is great in that it will make the sweet sounds all the time that you are looking for, but it's a bit of a pain if you want the quieter mode in the event that you care about your neighbours for early morning starts. Or you wanna go on a nice highway trip and have some quiet etc...Having the fuse out physically and leaving it out also has a higher likelihood of leading to your exhaust valves seizing due to never getting activated etc...Not ideal...

Hope this helps.
