Default Closing Vehicle Sensing

I have the F-Type S, with Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) and supposedly Closing Vehicle Sensing (CVS) as shown the Owners Handbook, pages 55-57. The BSM works as advertised, however the CVS does not. So the relevant sensors and mirror indicators are working but it seems like "a few lines of code" are missing.

Do you have BSM but not CVS in your F-Type? If not, was there a fix for it?

I have this from the Vision Pack and it works by illuminating the mirror light when there is a car in your blindspot but flashing the mirror light when there is a car approaching quickly. It seems to go off when a car is coming at least 10 mph faster or so than you're going. Are you saying that yours doesn't flash when a vehicle approaches quickly?

That is how mine works as well - and it works fine.

I have three mirrors, and I keep moving my head when using them to make sure there's nothing behind me that I haven't seen. Some of this may sound familiar to those of you who are - err - familiar with VFR.

Well - the BSM and CVS do require that you actually look in the mirrors

Thanks. Perhaps I'll have to slow down to let someone to overtake me at > 10 MPH. I've only driven this car less than 150 miles - how do I slow it down?

I hear ya! It was really hard to go slow when I first got mine. To be honest, I never noticed the CVS going off at first, either!

You don't have to slow down.

Drive faster ...

when the CVS triggers ... get out your license, registration and insurance
