Clunk noise going up ramps
I've read in some threads that this is a common issue? When going up ramps, especially diagonally, people can hear a clunk noise from the rear as the car drives up. Mine just so happens to be on the right side. I've had this problem in other cars before as well, but it seems like Jaguar wasn't keen on providing a permanent solution, as I've yet to see a thread where it conclusively say it was resolved by Jaguar. Typically the clunking comes from the sway bar bushings, but I wanted to see if anyone knows there's a permanent fix, whether it's through dealership or aftermarket bushings...
I do plan to, but I've yet to read that any Jaguar dealership conclusively fixed the problem for anyone with this specific issue. I'm also capable of some level of DIY work, so if it comes down to it, I can change the anti-roll bar bushings myself.
I would first try to get confirmation on "where" the noise is coming from... I've owned many vehicles and never had "clunking" that was supposed to be there. Yes, sway bar bushings are not hard to change but you don't seem to believe that's exactly your issue or you would have just done it.
I have successfully used a set of ChassisEars (wired type) to diagnose suspension noises in the past. So far they have correctly diagnosed a bad hub and a clunk from a bad upper control arm (front).
Best of luck.
Best of luck.
