HI...My 3 month trial (via AT&T) expired, & my service was discontinued. The dealership salesman tells me I should still be able to use IN CONTROL REMOTE for remote starting, journeys, etc. But I cannot get it to work. Is he correct, or do I need to sign up for a paid monthly service plan through AT&T? By the way, the 3G icon still lights up on my dash, and the emergency phone call still works!!

Hmmm...On my 2016, they provided a full 5 years worth of free service. I wouldn't think that either Apps or Remote would work without the service. Also, I thought it was some kind satellite service rather than cell service since it works in non-cell coverage areas. Maybe the medium has changed since MY2016.

 

I am UK based, my app provided directions to vehicle, remote start and journey logging, status of door lock and alarm.

When my subscription expired the app continued with reduced functions, journey and directions to vehicle worked, other features didn't.
When I renewed the subscription with Jaguar UK (£30 per year) the functionality was restored

 

My car was tendered to the Long Island dealer a month ago and I'm still logged in. I can see anytime anyone takes it for a test drive in columbia maryland at the jag dealer who bought it at auction. Im thinking of messing with them and unlocking it now and then
