Default Convertible headlining ? Rip off!

Just picked up my new convertible, I ordered GREY MORZINE headlining at extra cost to lighten up the interior now what do you consider headlining to consist of? well......headlining well thats what I thought but no!!!! all I got is the lighter colour grey around the A frame i.e. around the windscreen frame the headlining is dark i.e. not the lighter colour, I ordered and payed for is this correct ? am annoyed, any comments appreciated, regards Stuart.

pic new car.

Assuming you're talking about the interior fabric/leather above the dash, i'm not sure what you expected. Being a convertible, that's the only area they could really change right? In the coupe the headliner is included in this option, but a vert obviously has that top, which you got in a light color. What were you expecting?

I think he's saying the other way around, he expected the headliner (inside of the convertible roof) to be the same lighter colour as the outside but it is in fact black...?

I guess it makes sense, if you had chosen red as the exterior colour of your convertible roof, would you really want a red headliner ?

You have the advantage that you can remove the roof to lighten up the interior ;-)

What color is the underside of the convertible top? Black? I would think the headliner would include the underside of the soft top, but the configurator on the jag website doesn't show the interior with the top up, and when selecting the headliner only the A frame material changes. I'd see if you're dealer will refund the $500 or a portion of it. Did you discuss what you wanted with sales person prior to order? Nice color combo by the way.

Thanks for the reply, the inside of the hood is very dark grey, the dealer said 'they're all like that' after I received the car I didn't ask the dealer when ordering the car because I presumed the headlining i.e. the lining material was going to be all light grey morzine, I'm really annoyed.

All I really want to know is can you spec different colour hood headlinings, regards Stuart.

I got the ivory leather headliner with a beige top. I think it looks great and well worth the extra $.

I have to admit I didn't clearly understand " headliner " even after I got car. I used the configurator to test colors and then understood. Maybe UK term?

It's "headliner" in Murican, as well. What do you call the fabric covering the underside of the lid/top/roof?

Here in Straya it's called roof lining most of the time and headlining occasionally.

if you built it with the online tool it does pretty much show you that its only that windscreen surround which for the vert is pointless

I think the color I've seen listed for the underside is "mineral". Not 100% positive though. I was also wondering that if the underside was a light color if it would be more prone to soiling, but I'm not familiar with the way the tops store and retract. What is the material under there?

I have the mineral (warm gray) interior. No idea what the headliner color is - black, I think, but I'll check when I put the roof up.
