For those who have used them, do they vibrate or rattle at speed?

Perfect timing. I just bent my OEM mesh one while being a klutz. Rear vis is much much better no mesh; I could never go back. But the extra wind is just enough of an irritant that I'll want the plexiglass.

I would love a windscreen but I don't have any brackets. I'm sure the dealer would charge a lot for it

i have it. seamed like a great idea....its not. it shakes and flaps around soo hard i thought it was going to come out for the first few times i had it installed. It doesn't come out (been speed tested to 140 lol) its not as great as you would think it is.

Gotta be some way to shim it in a little tighter, no?

Wow...good to know. I did quite a bit of research before I purchased and you are the first I've heard of with those results. Did you buy the Euro Motorspeed version? If so, when? Worse case scenario, I'll use the plexiglass as a template for a tempered glass piece.

I think some folks have added a shim at the bottom. I don't have one...

its not a shim issue, it fits super tight. its the nature of Plexiglas i believe, its just kinda floppy and the wind has its way with it. im going to leave it in for a few more weeks and see if i stop noticing it in my mirror as it shimmers and shakes in the wind.

maybe some thicker glass would be better, i got mine on ebay so i don't know where it originally came from but its thin. maybe a solid (but thin) bar at the top to reinforce the wind catching edge.

Stuff a 3" long x 1/4" wide x 1/4" thick piece of foam in the middle of the channel at the bottom. That should calm the shaking down.

We've only tested ours to 85 MPH (with the top down, LOL) The reflection still shakes in your rearview a little but I don't find it distracting.

If the one I ordered is too floppy I am going to use it as a pattern to have a tempered glass one made.

I keep saying Windrestrictor! 4 years and perfect, also had one 3 years on SLK55. Cost more but long term with no problems.

This looks nice but I'm not a fan of the bulky frame around the glass/plastic or whatever the product is made from.

I have it and have hit 100 with it on the highway and there have been one or two times I have heard it move a bit but its not bad. Its def better than that mesh that you cannot even see through.

Just got the windscreen from Euro MotorSpeed via amazon. Took one minute to install. It is far more rigid than I thought it would be. So far no rattles or squeaks despite spirited driving on rough twisty roads. So far I would recommend.

BTW when I removed the OEM screen I realized that it has a frame that could be used as a pattern to use to get one made out of tempered glass. If I knew that before it got the plexiglass one that is what I would have done.

The frame is what gives it long term integrity.
