Default Coolant Temp ECT 1 circuit Low.

just obtained a 2014 Jaquar Ftype v6 s model. What.a.job. seized injectors (2). Coolant pipes. Supercharger coupler. Missing body parts. Bolts missing on steering and AC valve removed. All done. But here is the problem. P0117 code. Ect 1 low circuit open. I have 12 v on one side and 3.5 v on other side. Code wont clear. New sensor. Sensor is grounded or signaled with evap sensor. Same volt reading. I need to know what otjer ftype reading are. Is the ECM fried??? Loosing my mind.

I have a 2015 F-Type R, and had a similar problem, but with ECT sensor #2.

The wiring to ECT 2 sensor was rubbing against power steering pulley. Indy repaired the wire and re routed wires, tested system and everything tested ok.

Hope you find the root cause of yours too!

Default Problem solved

A mechanic plugged the ECT connector into the Evap sensor and evap into the ect 1 plug. Traced wires. Put plugs in and all good. Took many days and a few friends. The evap sensor is hiding under the wiring harness. It was hard to see. Three things on the car that were done wrong by a technician. Hmm, maybe on purpose.
