Default Cruise control stopped working

2014 V8S convertible, 20,000 miles. My cruise control has suddenly stopped working. Will not switch on. Any thoughts please?

Check cruise control fuse. It might also be a bad brake pedal sensor switch. or the cruise control module.

Thank you. Those are some good suggestions and I will look at those items.

I like the mods on your car. Do you track it? I'm looking at tracking mine for the first time when the weather cools down. My previous track car for 5 years was a Dinan Stage II BMW 135 M sport. So I'm interested to see how the F type handles it. Might need to make a few mods myself.

Haven’t made it out to Summit Point yet. I use the potential to canyon carve in the Appalachians. TOTD was a hoot. I’ll go do that next Spring again.

be aware if you select "trac dsc" or even "dsc off" cruise control will be out of order.

I had a similar problem with mine. The buttons on the steering wheel stopped working. Fixed under warranty.

Do you recollect what they replaced under warranty please?

Mine was getting hard to set and or control with the buttons - may or may not be what you experienced before it quit completely - I had to repeatedly push and/or what was to me an excessively firm hold down to get to engage and work. Replaced both steering wheel controls myself just recently - issues went away. For me was a controller issue.

Well I pulled the panels to check on the cruise control fuse. But there is no enclosed fuse ID chart like any other car. Unless I'm missing it.
Have you ever seen a chart to help ID fuses please. And thanks for your comments!

It should be documented in your manual, under "Fuses". However, in my MY18 manual there's nothing specifically for cruise control.

Apparently there are 5 fuse boxes. But so far I haven't found one labelled cruise control. Everything else but no cruise control .

That is a really good point! And I need to check this. I probably knew that and forgot since I drive the car so infrequently. I'll have to check that too. Thank you.

I have raced with Hooked on Driving, and Performance Driving Group for years and can highly recommend. Have driven at Daytona, Sebring, Homestead, Palm Beach International, Roebling Road. Of course these tracks are around Florida but bith these clubs organize events at other locations. But you may want to check these organizations our. I have also had a great time at 1/2 mile drag races with WannaGoFast. Best speeds with the Jag are 144 mph at 1/2 mile, 117 mph at 1/4mile mark.
Hope to see you out sometime.

Re your recommendation, is this cruise control a system that you have worked on?
Because after checking out all 5 fuse boxes, I cannot find a cruise control fuse..
What am I missing?

Just figured there had to be a fuse for it, but that’s an impression from an era gone by. According to the shop manual, the most likely issues are stuck buttons on the steering wheel, a bad clock spring connector in the steering wheel, or a loss of communication between the speed control module and the ECU. Diagnostic trouble codes have to be pulled to pinpoint the source of the problem.

I know it's a zombie thread but did you ever resolve this? I just bought a 2016 V6 manual and the cruise control does not work. The limiter works so I'm confident that the buttons and controller work.

I haven't checked the cruise control recently, but will update my findings asap
