cup holder assemby
My phone fell behind the cup holder lid. Was able to get the lid off. Any tips on putting it back together? I have a 2021 F-Type

Instead I lined the hole with a piece of black car carpet cut to shape and it makes a perfect spot to hold my sunglasses.
PS - it takes a fairly hefty tug to lift the holder insert out.

If I had been a little less frantic to retrieve my phone, I would have figured out that you can remove the cup holder insert (takes a hefty pull). You may then be able to get your phone to slide under the lid. My problem is I can't figure out how to reinstall the lid and its springs.
