Posting here as well, in case this is helpful to anyone or if someone were to search for a solution in the future. I know this has been done before, but wanted to share my results. I just couldn’t pony up the $100 USD for a 3D printed phone mount and decided to make my own for a total of $14. The 3D printed bracket can be found at the link below and downloaded for free. There are a few different versions if you search on the site below.
It cost me 38 cents worth of materials to print and here is the end result. Not trying to sell these, you can do and download it yourself and find someone (like I did) or pay someone to print one out. I printed a few, as the first time we set the printer too fast and not hot enough, so it was not smooth, the final product however came out great. Works great. Doesn't slide down (there are two areas that clip underneath the handle) and it sort of clamps on there ever so gently.
