Hey, just to give very one an update, I have also ordered mine. I am in Philadelphia next week looking for an apartment/house to move my wife. But when I get back, I am going to drop this very quickly into the car if it is there. I have an action camera setup so will video the install. I will also be videoing my usage on the way to work and stuff with the current system and the new system.

I am in as well. 17 SVR. I am curious to find what doesn't work with these. I have done something relatable and there were always tradeoffs as to what you could do retrofitting such units.
What ever you guys attempt make it reversible. I tried to do something similar with my 2005 Cad CTS-V back in the day and lets just say it didn't work out very well. Looked great in the dash and then I turned the key to ACC and the car went absolutely bonkers.
TIP: If you go to Crutchfields and there is no deck listed for a car there is a serious reason for that fact. They want your $$$ and if anything would fit/work they would be pitching it.
Every supposed DD head unit on there says underneath in little letters - Fit unknown.

After chatting to Jenny it would appear that only the 'Bosch' is available. The Harman system is still in development. so if you have a screen that looks like this ..
Then you will be out of luck for the time being.

How do you explain the videos showing the unit working in an F-Type?
There have been multiple entertainment systems over the years in the f-type. The working pictures and video, are all for upgrades the early systems (up to 2015, but some later cars as well dependent on whether it is the 770w system). The later systems use a different screen with different connections. This is why Merryway want you to show the back of your screen before ordering, to make sure that they ship a model that is compatible.

its not a full head unit, that is probably why. Also crutchfield is only going to sell something from known vendors.
This is essentially an overlay vs a head unit. your 'head unit' is actually in the center glove box/armrest.

All F-Types up to VIN K22184 (2015MY) had the IAM2.1 infotainment system
Cars with the Base or 380W Meridian system from VIN K22185 onward got the NLI infotainment system, what they are calling "Harman" that's 2016MY onward, but not the 770W Surround.
Cars in the 2016-2017MY with the 770W Meridian kept the IAM2.1 infotainment, VIN's K22185 to K47319. The homescreen was changed but it's still IAM2.1 "Bosch"
Cars after K47319 with the Meridian Surround have the NGI infotainment, which is InControl Touch Pro, which will have Apple Carplay Android Auto anyhow.
There appears to be 4 different screens for the f-type

So is it a Harman or a Bosch?

You have a 2017MY car. It is the NLI/Harman system.
