I thought to correct the light spectrum of my headlights back to pure white right? Kind of like polarized glasses.

I am not aware of any such properties of a clear bra film. Also, generally you can't filter into white, as it is composition of all visible spectrum.

If you are interested in playing with headlight colors, one way to do it is by replacing bulbs. HID bulbs generally have temperature rating that will determine color - pure white, yellow, blue, and even purple are possible.

I think he meant that you have something in common was the bonus?

More genarally, we now have two threads in which forum members indicate that not only can they afford these things, but they can afford to not take them seriously.

They then get flamed.

Discuss...

Modifications are a personal thing. And if they make you happy, go for it. Just keep the reverse able if you ever want to sell. Because it may not be the next buyers cup of tea. Beyond that who cars what others think..

This is quite correct so there was no need for your following comment of "your mods look like Ka Ka" was there, bit childish really.

I rarely see mods on ANY car that look good. The fact of the matter is, most mods do not make a car look better at all and if anything they actually make them look worse. However, once in a while there is an occasional mod that actually does look great and everybody wants to do it. With that said, the only way we can ever know if a mod looks good or not is to actually try it out and see how it goes. So I applaud anybody for experimenting and trying out a mod so that we can see for ourselves if its ideal for us.

Default Unique Look

Congrats on formulating a unique and one of a kind look for your F-Type. Not my kind of look, but there is zero chance that anyone is going to not recognize that beast a belonging to you.

Exit question - was there a mod you wanted to do that you were not able to figure out how to pull off? Anything more you wish you had done?

The sad thing about comments like this is it drives folks like us away from the forum. Every car I have is modified because I like being different and hell, I own them. I get why folks like to shame others for being different but I don't think it is a good practice for cars or bodies. And I doubt folks that do the one don't also do the other. It is certainly fair to say you wouldn't do these things to your car, but comparing the result to **** perhaps says more about the writer than then it does their opinion. I used to be on the forum far more often then I am now, largely because of behavior like this. I don't feel I have to put up with it.

I view shunning as acceptable response to socially unacceptable behavior. From my point of view, outrageous and tasteless mods not only destroy modded car, but they also create '******* halo' around any other car of that kind. With enough of these, you poison the image and general good will against the car.

For example, due to all bad mods Honda Civic's image is so far-gone that it is now irreversibly poisoned as a sports car. Especially egregious was damage done to hatchbacks, to the point that Honda stopped all production of such trim.

Thankfully, F-type is too expensive to suffer Honda CXi's fate, but the same principle applies.

Just what did Polaris do to his car that is socially unacceptable. If you don't like it, fine but to compare what he has done to that of someone with a Honda Civic is just too ridiculous to contemplate.

I think we need a safe space for the humorless.

Your points are well taken and may well be based on a lot of truth, however there are many forms of forum behavior and decorum that drive and/or keep people away, and another such example is post ******... people who dominate and/or litter the forum with one shallow or useless post after another. There comes a point where the forum seems to be all about one poster, and the entire product swirls down the drain.

Similar to what SinF stated about the image of the brand itself getting trashed by too many ridiculous mods -- which is certainly part of the concern to some who have voiced their objection in this thread -- there comes a time where certain posters should realize they are no longer just a contributing member of a forum, but are trashing the value of the forum content as they become something of a dominating influence over the entire forum, which is rarely a positive direction for any open forum.
