Default Difficulty getting trunk panel tabs off

I need to pull off this most rear trunk panel to get the side panels back on from putting on eibach springs… I can’t figure out how to get these deep-seeded panel tabs to pop out since I don’t even know what tool to use to get down there since it’s a deep hole… any ideas? Every how-to I see doesn’t go in depth with it and the repair manual just says to pop them off but it’s not that easy…

Just pry the entire panel forward and down and those plugs will release. They are just push in to fit so no special release needed

I tried prying it just forward. I applied a ton of pressure and it still wouldn't pop. I released all tabs but these two that are deep seated. So you're saying applying pressure down also then will do the trick?

They're just Christmas-tree style clips. They push inward. If it absolutely won't come, something else is still holding it other than these, though they will take some significant pressure to pull.

You can see from the picture that they are DESIGNED to be easier to insert, than remove. Pull harder!

Last resort: drill 'em.

Better buy some new ones, just to Be Prepared.
