Default Do Not Watch YouTube

I, unfortunately started watching exotic car crash videos on YouTube and now am afraid to leave my home. Forget dash cam cameras, I need a nomex suit and full helmet.

I only get concerned if I can't tell exactly why the crash happened. Otherwise it is good watch to remind what not to do.

I am not perfect either, there was at least one instance where electronics saved me with F-type. One memorable time was when I failed to account for an unseasonably cold morning and took a corner too fast and end up losing rear grip. I really appreciated electronic nanny bailing me out, however I'd prefer if it didn't cut my throttle quite as much as I think I was on a crisp of inducing over-steer due to weight transfer.

I am shortly leaving the safety of my home for dinner, and I decided to watch a few crash videos to remind myself that few people can handle a car as well as me.

I relate. Watching videos can make it seem that that's the norm and freak you out. I'm still leery of dyno machines after watch a bunch of cars blowup on them.

That's the way I felt the first few times I had the F-Type on a dyno, given all the early forecasts of fires and nuclear blasts if anyone dared to tune the V6.

Problem is, it's so easy to get side tracked with the Tube...I started looking at Dyno runs yesterday (as I'm sure many on this forum did after the recent discussions)...I ended up looking with great interest at Corvette C7 Z51 convertible tests...Totally blame Foosh as I think his car looks awesome...but alas, no right hand drive.

I love the picture were the driver ran into the cement. They should cut it out and put it into that State Farm commercial and say stupidity is covered.

Is this the picture you're referencing? It's a half mile from my home and when I saw it I was sad.

I am very free with my emotions. At the very least, a distracted driver destroyed a nice "hunk of metal" and will have to replace it with another "hunk of metal."

Well, if a driver is that distracted and can't see what was probably a ton of orange barrells and orange vest wearing workers in front of him and he ends up in concrete. Who cares about the car, lucky no worker was killed. Sorry, I don't hold any emotional attachment to a car.

Destroyed? It's only the bottom half of the tires that may need some cleaning off...

Remembering the Myth Busters episode where they proved that a stick of dynamite could <potentially> clean out the inside of a cement mixer truck/lorry (for limeys)
