In the summer, I almost daily drive F-type. I have other cars, including convertibles, that I occasionally take out. However, F-type has been my favorite since I got it.

In the winter - it is all about Subaru with winter tires. Too much snow and ice here to drive anything else.

ditto; if I took my F type to the ski hill, it'd still be there in the spring!

I drive mine dailey for 3 seasons; 5k miles the first 3 seasons. Can't wait to get back in it.
Comparing the V6S to the R... in my initial drive though i found that the V6S was lacking a bit in torque... my current car is putting out 415tq to the wheels and you really feel the difference. I'm sure overall though the f type v6s is faster than my car. I just missed that feeling soon as i put my foot on the gas.

Wouldn't have bought it if I wasn't willing to use it every day.
I do have another car for ultra practical large shopping trips and long trips with the dog - short ones, definitely require the jag, top down of course.

i split my daily driving between 2 dailys - f-type r v8 and m3 zcp

i swap out my cars typically every 12 months, but have kept the jag now going on 18 months as i'm really enjoying it. Most cars i'd be bored by now.

it really is a great daily driver, the suspension dampening is the perfect balance bw comfort and sport imo (on mpss), much better in this regard than the m3 - funnily enough i get out of the bmw and into the jag for a more comfortable lower nvh commute

the only thing it's lacking to be the perfect daily is in car tech, chiefly the infotainment. i'm grateful i have bmw's numero uno idrive 5 to alternate between for voice to text messaging, heads up display, voice control, apple carplay, 360 cameras, etc

Daily driver here, and never been a problem.
No choice really as it's the only car I have other than my up for sale XFR which is stored away.
I have never seen icy or snowy roads here (never seen snow here at all in over 60 years!), no need for winter tyres ever, never used snow/winter mode on 2 XFs or the current F, I pity you blokes in the NH who have to keep swapping tyres over or put the car away for months at a time.

Purchased my R coupe late July 2016. DD most days and put 8k miles on her already. Drives better on road trips than I expected and MPG is way better than expected if I keep in cruise control and just chill. Dynamic mode? Not so much LOL.

I too was planning/budgeting for the S model not only because of price but also I wanted a manual. Then I drove the R and I was done but did manage to pick up a '16 with about 4k miles as a demo and saved a small fortune.

I turned down a job because their parking garage had a large bump to get into it, which was more important to me than the team I'd be working with.

I've never been such a pansy about a car in my life. I used to see ads saying 'never driven in the rain' and stuff like that and ponder the person's mental stability.

Now I'm one of them.

Well not completely. As long as I have my Echo2 waterless wash and MF towels ready for immediate deployment upon its return to the garage hahahahaha.

.... excuse me dear ... I'll be upstairs in a little bit ...

Mine is a V8S and I average 20mpgs with my daily 40 mile round trip commute. Again this is my only car. It gets way better gas mileage than my old C63. I am contemplating a new Camaro ZL1 sometime soon though. The FTpye is a great car though!

Daily drive winter and summer. North Sweden with temps down to -25 C and lots of snow and ice.
Have the AWD S and works perfectly well in all conditions.

Sweden is a sustainable oriented country to my knowledge. Do they use salt or some form of de-icing compound on the roads? They use salt here, and it is not a good companion to aluminum and steel or great for the environment.

It is the salt that keeps my summer cars off the road until after a few good spring rains. I am hoping to start them up next weekend. I am getting a bit antsy these past couple of weeks.

Most weeks combo I'd say 19-21 mpg.

My best road trip, all interstate, "normal mode" and in cruise control for 3-4 hours straight was 29.2 mpg. I couldn't believe it and yes, I filled up and reset everything just before pulling up on the interstate for the trip.

Hard to call her the "Anti-Prius" with those numbers LOL. But, I rarely drive like that and instead am always seeking back roads, in Dynamic, and paddles a going.

I drive mine every day I take the toll road to work. If I don't I have a HOV-access special Chevy Volt.
