Default Door trim piece broke/fell off

Hi all. I have a 2017 F-Type convertible. On the driver's side door, in the jam area (area that is not seen when the door is closed) at the top there is a plastic triangular piece that fell off. It just covers the gap at the top. If you can picture it's the part of the door that rests against the rear of the body when closed. Did this happen to anyone else? How did you fix it? It looks like a tab on the inside broke off so now it does not stay in place. When I swing the door open it just falls to the ground. I can't even find it on diagrams for the door. It looks like I might be able to glue it in place but I worry that it might be an issue if I ever have to take the door panel off. Anyone experience something similar? What did you do? Thanks in advance.

Default I think I may have this piece

HI and I believe I know the piece. A photo of your issue would help, but I'm pretty sure it's at the upper part of the door, triangular, but a really long triangle. I was doing work inside my door and the clip on this piece snapped off. I was able to superGlue it back together and put the piece back on the door. However, my OCD took over and I wanted to replace it with a new part. UGHHH... it was $50 and, at the time, there were no used ones around. So I put in some overtime and bought it. It may hold together if you have the clip that must have broken off and glue it. Otherwise, I don't think you want to glue the piece in place. Isn't there a screw to get the door panel off under it?? (trying to remember the process). You may be able to get it to stick in place with some poster putty. It holds well and will not damage either surface.

UPDATE: I found a photo in my file that shows the 'repaired' piece.. you can see the white glue line.

Yeah, that little triangle piece is a common weak point on the F-Type. Same thing happened to mine. The plastic tab snaps off from normal door closing over time.
I just used a tiny dab of black silicone adhesive to hold it in place. Not permanent glue silicone stays flexible and you can peel it off later if you need to pull the door panel. Just don’t use super glue or epoxy.
Sticks fine and hasn’t fallen off since. You won’t find it sold separately from the whole door trim assembly anyway.
