I wouldn't pass up this year's Blast for the world, but if I had to wear gloves at the event, I'd be having second thoughts. Nomex or nothing.

My son keeps insisting that I drive with these!

I think it's a bit much.

I'm not retired yet

Sorry gentlemen, but if Unhingd says no gloves it's no gloves.

Agree, but the link wasn't for driving gloves.

I see that now, and did click on the link. Let me get this straight: you want me to contact the company and get them to provide all of us a pair of their driving underwear as part of our 2018 Jaguar Wild Blueberry Blast? Easy enough.

And then what? Tell them we will take a group photo of us in their underwear which will help promote their product and their company?

Let that image linger in your mind a bit and get back to me.

P.S. I believe you will be quite pleased and satisfied with what little swag I've already secured. Of course, I could be wrong. Besides, it's not like you have unlimited space in your vehicles. Which reminds me: good thing L.L. Bean - where we are making a de rigueur stop - ships FREE!

Not a chance. That would trigger several more years of therapy.

With that, I think I can officially bring this thread to a close! Jay, your preparations are more than enough, comfort of participants was main goal. Everyone will be on their own for personal attire. (I was just trying to help).

Just when I was going to suggest to my glove-wearing-Forum-typing-Moderator-friend GGG to make it a sticky.

You have nothing to worry about Vince - not that you are - and everything to look forward to. You are in good hands. (Just without the gloves).

For the strap, try Strapcode, Hong Kong I think they are. It goes well with a lot of watches, but this one is on an Omega Seamaster Prof.

Correct.... the gloves are Dents they were a birthday present. I've only worn them once for driving coz I think gloves are for nonces, however when I start driving hard my hands start to sweat, so I'm giving these a go to see if they're any good.

Add me to the Dents group. These have been my somewhat* daily gloves for a few years. Super comfortable, outstanding quality.

*They tend to get some extended breaks in the Texas summer time.

The Dents are quite appealing. A desideratum to compliment my new British motoring persona. Which ones to select? I ponder.

Odd. When I drove the Hellcat my intonation was harsh and crude. I would have said "I needs me sum hand skins to rock solid on the steering". I feel so evolved and refined just owning this sublime machine.

I was considering peccary gloves, but Dents doesn't appear to make them in that material. Would like to keep it an all British affair, but may need to go with the Italians.

Ok, a question (and for once I'm really not being snarky). What is the reason for wearing driving gloves? I mean, I know why I wear gloves on the motorcycle, etc. but why while driving? I'm too lazy to go google a generic answer. Actually I'm currently super busy at work and checking in here as much as I can during the day. Y'all are just that important to me!

With my vintage cars that are built like a tank, such as my FJ40, manual steering and long throw manual gears, large plastic steering wheel. The hand gets sweaty or callused. And grip performance can be compromised.

On a Alacantra covered padded wheel, automatic, its about the same reason that Michael Jackson wore a glove.

Yes, I saw those, but they are not driving gloves.
