I installed a set a month ago, easiest job I’ve ever done! They look good, brighter, sequential and a smoked look when off which blends into the mirrors better

Did you take out mirror glass or just detached the mirror cover, where you purchase yours

I just pulled the cover, (2015 if it matters) it was 10 minutes for the first side and about a minute for the other side once I knew what I was doing. I found them on eBay, it took a couple of weeks to get them though

Anything to just be careful with removing the covers have seen some videos and resulting broken clips

I used the tool they sent with lights and the cover pops right off, just be careful!

I got them back in July of last year, i posted asking if anyone knew about it and not one responded. I actually ended rup eaching out to one of the vendors/manufacturer from China that I had purchased a set from for my S4 a few years ago and they told me they were actually in the process of putting them out in the market. I couldnt be more excited, its a very subtle modification that most people wouldn't even notice, but I think its great.

I like this mod a lot. Regarding the tool they sent and removing the housing in general - besides being careful not to break any clips, is there any kind of gasket or seal there that needs to be replaced or re-furbed before putting the housing back on?

Has anyone compared them side by side, are they actually brighter? I've seen a lot of these that are a little subdued in person. They look very cool tho.

I don't mind this mod at all as it is cool but as I am not going to be able to see it myself there is no point in doing it
It might be cool for other drivers but as f type are so rare they will be looking at the rest of the car and probably not notice you have sequential indicators.
So it's really only there for other f type owners to notice and theres nothing wrong with that.

clutch - there's nothing to it. you can actually remove the mirror cover by squeezing it little and pulling down on it with 2 hands and it should just pop right off and as far as the light theres nothing to unplug the harness and remove 3 screws and then plug the new ones on and put the screws back on and the cover just snaps back on.

I think the light is just as bright as the factory OEM ones, the only difference is it blinks sequential

of course theres going be difference in brightness side by side since factory light flashes all at ones and the dynamic version flashes in sequential pattern but by themselves the dynamic ones are just bright as factory.

So order a set today off eBay so can't wait to get on, wurldfamuz so the glass doesn't need to be removed just pull the cap straight off, can you elaborate on the removal of the cap , squeezing it little? not sure what you mean about that , then pull down.

You just press (squeeze) the top edge down a bit to get it to release. At that point the removal becomes obvious. No tool necessary...I have done it a number of times.

Absolutely no need to touch the mirror glass itself.

Has anyone seen these in "clear", (like originals) not smoked? I think I would prefer that but all my searches turn up smoked ones.

Haven't received mine yet but because there smoked I presume that's why they stand out more when on, clear just wouldn't .
