Lights arrived extremely well packed, in a made to order well protected foam box with a pry tool and screw tool. Took 12 days to get here but that is pretty fast, considering. They work as they should, nice and bright and the sequence is not too fast just perfect.
Now, if I can just get my head out far enough with a tilt to it I should be able to see them......

Reason: Grammar
I can't comment on the replacement LEDs (other than they look cool but would technically be illegal in the UK as they have no marking), but please don't take your mirror covers off using the method shown in that YouTube video. It will be very easily to bend or break the lower hook that holds the base of the cover in securely and end up with an uneven gap/line around the top just like they show when reassembled. A tiny moulded hook on the bottom mates with a nub on the main housing and if it is worn or bent out of place it doesn't sit in securely. It will look ok, but the gap will be uneven and you will be able to see movement if you push in the bottom near the hinge location and you could actually pry it off again from bottom with minimal effort. When fitted correctly the cover should be evenly spaced and firm when pressed.
If you can squeeze it out by pressing on the top, then either it is very warm weather or that little hook is not securely clipped in.
To do it properly you should pull the top off completely evenly and raise the lower edge about where the inner end of the side marker is and not peel from the outside edge which is hard to do when you can't see the clips. That uneven gap along the edge between the black plastic and the mirror cover is a dead giveaway that someone has pried that cover off from the top at some point.
Just pop the glass out and release the three upper clips with a flat screwdriver. No risk of any damage, and you can give a quick visual inspection for corrosion at the same time.
wow ypu've put way too mucht thought into this process.
i actually think using a flat head screwdriver which is mostly likely made of some type of metal has more chances on leaving a mark or breaking a clip. But hey, you go do however you do it, for me I try to limit removing parts that doesn't have to be removed, less chances on breaking or damaging other parts and what is suppose to be a quick simple swap ends up becomes a headache job.

I performed this mod last night in less than 5 minutes. Just like the video above in #44.
Don't over-think this. The covers pop right off.
Note: The electrical connection points up (12 o'clock) on the new LED (top in photo). Stock connector is 3 o'clock (bottom). Plenty of cable - no issues. Looks great!
I also went with the cover removal. Did not want to mess with the glass and it was super easy. My lights came with its own pry tool, rather soft and pliable. Mind you I have a dozen of these in all kind of shapes and thickness. The one provided worked perfectly, I followed the video and had no problems with any of the clips getting them off or on. As MK18 says, don’t over-think this, it’s a simple procedure just take your time and go easy.
Besides the obvious sequential light drama, I particularly like the fact that the light is blackened out as opposed to the clear plastic on the stock light. It blends better with my blue cover.

I ordered mine from eBay, they are the black tinted ones which look awesome, but the wiring was identical to factory. Apparently there are numerous manufacturers based on your photo. As far as install, took no more than 10 minutes total which included getting my torx screwdriver out (picked the right size first - it’s either that or the 10th try) and a quick test to make sure they worked. I’ve been super lazy with all my parts (have a p7, carbon power vents, and like 8 other items that I just keep ignoring). These came today and I had to take the dog out so I put them in on the way back in the house. Cool mod, looks neat and was super easy and cheap, like the carbon fiber hood vents - just $1100 cheaper!

I bought from SNG Barratt via eBay, at $69.00. I had $48.00 of "eBay bucks" that were about to expire in 48 hours, so it was a quick impulse buy at $21. They included the trim pry and torx driver too, so I didn't even need to crack the tool box! Mine are tinted as well - not obvious in my photo - but looks great on the car.
I just opened up the package that I got from Amazon/SNG Barrett and one of them was opened and looked used. The other one is brand new but a little disappointing I got an open box.
I installed them, no issues.
not bad but the a few things I noticed. The sequential light is very fast and since it’s not that long, it looks like it’s just blinking unless you really look at. It’s also not flush like the factory lights.
I tinted the stock blinker and like that flush look better but part of one the stock lights burned out so I needed to replace it anyways.
I have no idea how many different manufacturers there are that are selling these lights, or even if it’s one manufacturer selling under various brands but my lights run very distinctly, not too fast, but in a very noticeable sequence. I would say it’s a perfect rhythm for me.
The lights should fit perfectly and flush. There is a small cup like slot at the spot closest to the side window glass that the light rests into. Perhaps that section is not fully seated and it should be before you tie the light down with the two screws. Perhaps it is something you could check.

I could take a picture if that would help.....
Thanks for the response. They're both seated properly and the screws are perfectly aligned and tight but the lights are not flush at all. From you what you're describing and that I got an open box buy (I definitely ordered a "new set"), I think maybe someone bought a cheaper knock off and returned them to amazon as the Barretts. That's even more disappointing.
Would you mind taking a quick video showing the speed of the light and how flush mounted it is? I may just return these to Amazon and order another set. Kind of a pain but I'd like to get what I paid for.
Had to use the lights in the garage for the photo so not the greatest of pictures but here they are....Hopefully you can see that they sit perfectly flush and you can barely tell they are lights.
For the video of the sequence, the one made by Cstall, at thread #32, is about what mine looks like. I can take a video of it tomorrow.

Thanks for all that. I definitely got some crappy knock off that's not even close to that. It fits but it's lightening fast to the point it's not really sequential and it's far from flush....
I returned it on Amazon and I gotta wait for SNG Barrett to approve it, that's a first time I've seen that .... hope I hear from them soon. I just ordered another set off their site and I hope I don't get the same open box BS as before.

Ok, so you guys have out in the garage now measuring lights.
I have the SNG Barrett. They are not flush. Both protrude uniform 2.5mm from flush. You can actually see that it's not flush in their install video above in post #44. I did not notice this before, nor does it bother me in the least. . They are definitely noticeably sequential.
Has anyone bought any of these from AliExpress that they are happy with ??
If so can they post a link or name which company they bought from.
I am in Australia so US sources are twice the price for me. Thanks
Also please name the ones to avoid if the product I bad. Unfortunately most sellers use the same advertising picture so you have no idea if they are the same product from one main manufacturer or if they make their own version

Yours are definitely a different maker/model than SNG's. I followed then link you posted and immediately noticed the connector is at 3 o'clock (as original) versus SNG's, which is at 12 o'clock, as I pictured in my post #47

Is it just my eyes or is yours not blacked out? It just looks like yours still have the clear plastic strip.
