Default Education on the F Type

Hi,

My dealer just called and said they have anew service. They will send a tec to the house to answer any questions we have about the car.

So tomorrow at 9 AM he will be here. If you folks have any questions, I can try for you! I have my list.

Scott

I'd like to ask him/her about the expected delivery dates for the Coupe?

Also, if he could answer, would like to know if the same Jaguar team did the F-type R-Coupe suspension development as for the XKR-S GT?

Thanks,

Albert

I'd be interested to know what features the dealer can enable via software. The manual notes that some things can be dealer programmed, I'm wondering if there is a list of things that can be coded. Things like one touch top/up down for the convertible top etc if that's possible.

Looking forward to hearing what you learn

Yes on all counts, same team not same suspension of course. I let him read your question. They will be out April / early May.

YERY few programable issues. The few are things that can be turned OFF, not on. Such as turning off the “courtesy wipe” of the wipers.
There is no list but you can ask the dealer.

2 hour visit. They are trying this in S. Cal, NY_NJ CONN and south Florida. Just started.

They will spend as much time as you need. Too many things to even remember to list as he will go through anything with you. Milage issues: In “Snow” mode with eco on you can get up to 50% better gas milage in crowded town driving (yes more like 15 to 30% but in some cases 50). Eco has been in Europe for about 4 years.

Dealers were very surprised when they learned the phone / nav did NOT have a talk to system. No fix that he knows of for it.

He would clay bar the cars right away.

He loves the F type.

Any other ? please ask me and I will try to respond if it was covered (AND I remember of course)

thanks for the update. I believe someone on the forums is working on a module that seems to mirror the Smart Top module I had on my 997 convertible that would address the one-touch top up/down at least.
