Thumbs up Engine code/exhaust issue solved

Exhaust tone/P2404 fix

Have submitted a couple of post in the last two weeks about various issues with my F-type. Overall, the exhaust tone and the car just did not feel right. Slight loss of power/throttle response

Engine light (P2404) Emission (Turned out to be a faulty gas cap) Replaced zero code since.

Exhaust tone not as prevalent/pops and bangs less often (Removed exhaust vacuum pump/TSB/replaced exhaust vacuum that connects to exhaust. Exhaust is back to normal

Parts list

Part Number Part Name

T2R19086 Vacuum Hose

AJ812350 Vacuum Hose

AJ811695 Purge Control Valve

T2H46581 CAP-FUEL FILLER

AJ813949 Vacuum Hose

Although all the parts listed may not have needed replacement, I could not pinpoint the leak with soap and water or want to pay a shop to figure out the issue. In the end the car is running great and has for the most part a completely new vacuum path.

Default the parts and the process

Would this issue pertain only to your model F? I have a 2017 base, premium, but like to keep it in good order.

I have a new cap, and I did check under the car to make sure the hoses were on the valves (stems)

Is the AJ811695 Purge Control Valve complicated to replace? I'm pretty handy with repairs, ( had 5 old british cars and since 1989 an E type that I work on.)

thank you,
