good morning. does anyone know what size is the oil filter cap removal tool and what size plastic tube goes into the housing to suck the old oil out?
i have an extractor pump but its not the commonly used mityvac

The filter removal cap is 15 flute 88 mm diameter and the oil extraction tube is 9 mm external diameter so you want a plastic tube with 9 mm internal diameter.
The plastic tube goes over the extraction tube not in or down it.

the oil change was easy, i attached a pic of the 12v pump i used. it was only $15 and took approx 10 minutes to empty.
i dont think the evacuation tube is 9mm as stated earlier.
my 9mm was way too big, luckily i had some random pieces of small tubing and was able to adapt it to fit, i would say its more like 5 or 6mm

I think you are confusing internal diameter with external diameter. The extraction tube on the car is definitely 9 mm external diameter and 6 mm sounds about right for it's internal diameter. It also sounds like you poked the plastic tube inside/down the extraction tube which is not the correct/easy method, but if it worked for you then not a problem!

And yes, for all you mob carrying on above, I am in Adelaide South Australia and I was fast asleep during the "debate" over my location (and gender - I'm a he).

so we both need to pay more attention

the hose i ended up using did in fact go OVER the suction tube, and from memory the EXTERNAL diameter was approx 1/4" which = xx mm

Which means, translated into English, the external diameter of the car's oil extraction tube is 9 mm so for a plastic tube to fit tightly OVER that tube you want the plastic tube to have an INTERNAL diameter of the same, ie 9 mm.
But to make sure I just checked and measured that pesky car tube and guess what, I was wrong!
I got my 9s and 6s mixed up (coz I am Down Under) and it really measures 6 mm external diameter!
And yes 1/4" is close to 6 mm.
Good that you got it done even with my dodgy advice!

I am curious about the filter wrench size. OzXFR says 88mm size. This one on Amazon is supposed to be for the Jaguar and the description says 90.2mm

That 90.2 mm appears to be the internal distance between one flat and the opposite corner so a little more than the internal distance between opposite flats.
I have an 88/89 mm combo tool, "stepped" so that the inner/top bit is 88 mm and the outer/bottom bit is 89 mm, and the inner part fits perfectly.

 

Mr Oz....I visited Amazon for this part and it states that it now is "unavailable" w/ indication when it may be back!

It says it is 89 mm so I just checked on my car and in fact it is the wider/top/89 mm bit which fits on mine and not the 88 mm bit I said before.
So 89 mm is correct and the linked one above should fit perfectly.
