Engine throwing code P026A Charge Air Cooler Efficiency Below Threshold
Just noticed this error code popped up when I connected my scanner tool to the ODB connector. I have noticed coolant smell after driving the car in the garage, no white smoke from the tail pipe though. I did check the coolant level and it is slightly lower than "min". Should I be concerned or just top off the coolant reservoir? The smell is concerning but i dont think its a blown head gasket -- no leaks that i can see and there doesnt seem to be oil in the reservoir tank either. Appreciate any thoughts.

There's a reason we ask everyone to add vehicle details to their forum signatures. I added 2014 F-Type V8 to yours.
P026A is a defined dignostic code for the Jaguar Ingenium Diesel engines. However, I have the 2014 V8 engine in my XK and it is not a defined code for that engine. A typo or using an incompatible code reader?
As for the coolant level, overheating is an engine killer on the Jaguar V8 and you should investigate any loss. As a minimum action, the level should be topped up immediately. Small leaks are often difficult to find and a pressure test can help troubleshooting this.
