Exhaust vs. Warranty
Anyone have and real experience with Jaguar in terms of how strict, or not strict, they would be concerning honouring the factory warranty if one were to only change the back box exhaust?
i.e.: No re-mapping, cats/GPF and mid pipe left alone…

I don't know what Canadian laws are regarding warranty but we have some protections here that making a change like that wouldn't void the warranty entirely, unless they could link the aftermarket modification to the failure in question. So if your passenger window regulator failed and you asked to get it fixed under warranty, the dealer couldn't deny the claim simply because you have an aftermarket exhaust.
My dealer has never said a word about my aftermarket exhaust while servicing it.

This guy does a pretty good job of laying things out in the US, but I’ve yet to get a clear picture in Canada here…From the sounds of this video though, even in the US they could still possibly void anything exhaust related. So if your cats failed perhaps they’d still nail ya on that sorta thing maybe, even if ya only changed the back box.
