Default F-type 2.0 exhaust note help.

Hi everyone on the F-type forum, i am an xkr owner and am contemplating buying the new 2.0 Dynamic car. Reason being it looks and drive and as i live in Ireland the C02 emissions here means owning a 3.0-5.0 car means you are paying outrageous road/carbon tax every year. I currently pay €1860 road tax every year on my 4.2 2007 car. If i went for a new 3.0 or 5.0 car it would be €2300 p/a.
Anyway i have looked at several videos, well all on youtube on the 2.0 dynamic with the active exhaust but can't get a right example of the noise. I know it's not going to be even close to the 3.0 S noise, forgetting about the R but has it any noise at all.
Has anyone got one or can supply any info or videos, I suppose some exhaust makers are already on the manufacture of a system for the car.
Is there really any great noise at all, i suppose there's not even a crackle or pop.

Savings per annum aside, how are the Gardai with noisy exhausts?

Make sure to extensively test-drive this 4-cyl F-type. I recently had XE with Ingenium engine and it was underwhelming performance wise, and had transmission/engine pairing issues.

problem here in rep.of.ireland is there are maybe one or 2 used ones for sale if any and not much choice, the base new 2.0 comes in at €67,000 and nearly €80,000 for the dynamic R, up at €100,000 for a 3.0, if i was to purchase one in the UK or across to northern ireland i would have to pay a vehicle registration tax to bring in the car, this is estimated by the revenue here, which when you change currency and then the tax, have to get the car moted it bumps it up more. VRT on a 2016 5.0 is estimated at a bit over €25,000 on a £67,000 car, with currency change comes to around €75,000
but then the vrt is €25,000 on top. Ireland is the only country this vrt applies to and we have the highest road tax on the planet.

Higher road tax than singapore? ??

All joking aside, be patient see what you can do and what cars come up for sale and then decide, think about how long you waited to be able to buy this car. couple more months to find the perfect one won't be much , Also how is depreciation of the f types in Ireland?

Perhaps the six or seven retailers in the Republic want to protect their turf. I know there were businesses importing other brands' RHD vehicles to the Republic and selling them for less than the local distributor and retailers could.

With such a small population, the government must want to collect as much in taxes as possible.

Have ye considered emigrating?

I'm actually looking forward to driving the 4. I prefer the steering in the 6 to the 8 (prefer the quad exhausts in the 8 to the 6 though) and I reckon with less weight at the front the steering in the 4 will be perfect.

As for noise, it sounds decent enough, click forward to about 1.45 on the video in this review. Sounds like one of the old english open top sports cars 2018 Jaguar F-Type four-cylinder review | CarAdvice

Go for it, I reckon these will be good cars.

it sounds better than the 718, but still sounds like a 4 cylinder for sure

Golly, that turbo-4 of the F-Type in the Ozzie road test provided by BruceTheQuail sounds marvelous - what a surprise! Mind you, I'm not going to rush out and trade-in the giggle-inducing F-Type R. But the Jaguar 4-cyl does make the 718 sound...what's the phrase...knock-kneed.

Think if i went for one it would be in the blue and same trim as in the video, as for the exhaust note i probably would stick it out till some aftermarket systems came on stream.
