Default F-Type 2+2 ???

Came across the article below that Jaguar is going through some changes. Looking at electric cars and also changing the F-Type to a roomier 2+2..

Jaguar Gives Up on the C-X75 to Build Electric Cars

So ruin the F-type while injecting its personality into all the other models. And I thought the changes for 2018MY were bad.......

Thanks for posting this. I've seen this rumor before (2 years ago, more conjecturally).

I really hope they don't do this. The XK is a beautiful GT design and jaguar really has an opportunity to make a great 2+2 by starting with brand new lines. They can share drive train with the F-Type if they want to save money but overextending the F-Type (literally!!) really dilutes the spirit and personality of the model I think.

When they created the 2+2 E-Type they destroyed that car. Damn thing still looks pregnant. Not that it has to look ugly but agree they likely should approach a 2+2 fresh.

Ditto the original 280Z and then the 280Z 2+2, destroyed the beautiful roofline.

Yes, if they want to an update they should use the platform but call it XK and make it different enough to look like a different model.

They could make the F-TYPE look like a Panamera, with plenty of rear head room. Ha! I don't care how nice of a car the Panamera is, it's just too damn ugly.

Now something like an Aston Rapide might work...
