F-Type Leg Room?
I will mention that as my car approaches its 4th birthday, the steering wheel motor is grinding a bit. May have that addressed before the warranty expires in June.
This thread is dumb, and I win.
*EDIT*: I do not win, but I like to think I am humble (either you can't, or I am) and love to learn about myself. The below is less about the thread, and FAR MORE ABOUT MY MEMORY. LOL I replied at length in this, but the bumped thread confused me, and I couldn't have been farther from realizing it was old, and I had participated. What is so funny is that 6'7" wins for height. LOL I am also 36-38 inseam depending on off the shelf or custom fit. I will also add, to the edit, that I did not alter the below response. I will also add, again, that I was an early Yelp adopter, and used their talk forums like an early Reddit... irreverent and goofy, but not part of the community. I used to bump their oldest threads, so often, and on purpose, that they finally starting archiving stuff and now allowing threads older than 2 or 3 months to be bumped. I appreciate bumps, and was just schooled by my own ammunition. Cheers and Merry Christmas. I don't care what word you use, but as a tall white dude I am more for Kwanzaa which is about hanging out with your best friends and community, and eating and drinking well. I loathe gift giving, and rather go for a drive. Please feel free to think less of me due to the below, or just realize it truly is the gin.
-----------------------------
I am 6'6". I have longer legs than torso.
I drove 4200 miles in 3 weeks anywhere between 5-8 hour average, and some days up to 11 or 12 hours.
I have a ******* back and massive problems (from pain to spasms), and although the spas at the lovely properties did a fine job in massage during the jaunts between National Parks and Aman resorts, I never cramped once. I *NEVER* got tired. I don't want to be too adamant to seem like I am too serious.... this is jolly energy fed by stupid holiday dinner conversations..... but I don't get this *AT ALL*.
I am 40. Maybe that is a factor, but my back is pretty awful. More likely, I came from a '95 Wrangler that has you sitting upright like a good postured truck driver. I don't slouch, and I have a good enough ego and confidence to naturally stand tall and have a good posture, because I am self respecting. <---- SLOW DOWN IT IS A JOKE.
I 100% think, before reading the rest of this thread, that it is this:
1) Put seat all the way *DOWN* first.
2) Then put the seat forward a bit, so you aren't "lounging" vs sitting a bit more upright.
3) Then put the seat *back* all the way back before hitting the "too far back" issue.
4) Mess with the steering wheel.
5) Dress shoes raise that right knee to be a tiny bit too close to the steering wheel, no matter it's angle. The pedals are too close together for size 13 workout sneakers.
6) Also, you might want to get new spacers in the seat, under warranty, to prevent bulkhead and hook damage behind the seat.
But, beyond complex physiology, and what not, I know there is only one single other guy that is near my height (or same), and I frankly cannot comprehend how this is an issue.
I reserve the right to edit this, because I have two pages to go, but this strikes me as primadonna nonsense. <--- also a joke fuelled by gin and stupid relatives.

^ I'll throw one more thing into the mix. Those of us so blessed with 3 pedals, are forced to set the seat position more forward than otherwise for adequate leverage to apply the clutch. Moral of this story:" If you're tall, buy an MT.
After reading this post again..... Front to back I've come to a few conclusions.
Dr Manhaton is an F Type owner "Want to be" I doubt he's even a doctor....
Polaris is right, there is a leg room issue with this car.
Uncle Fish bits spewed a quadruple entendre. (Very clever)
And finally Uhhindged has the compulsive need to always respond last. Maybe he's motivated to have his name be the last on as many threads as possible or maybe he's shooting for 10,000 posts. Who knows.
There that should insight a riot.
Now wait for it....wait for it.....here it comes.

I'm always stylishly late to any party.
I am 6'4", 170lbs and 36" inseam (yes, I am a freak, I know). Drove to San Francisco on the PCH (13hrs) and back via I-5 fwy (7hrs). My buddy, who is 6'5" travelled with me and we both had no complaints about the leg room. Tight, but not uncomfortable. The pedal box is TOO tight though, if you wear wide shoes beware...
Looks like there is hope for the long legged and/or those of us who crave more leg room. The new performance models will come with seats that give 2 inches more leg room. I may be able to have an F-Type yet! Quote below:
Other changes include a new magnesium framed slimline seat that both saves weight and adds a further 50mm of travel to accommodate powerfully built types. It's available in Sport and Performance versions, the latter standard on Sport 400 and SVR.

This thread is quite hilarious. A lot of relatively short guys saying they fit (well obviously youre NOT tall ffs) and one super tall 6.7 guy who say he fits as long as the top is down on his convertible... With the exception of Boston killer. The F-type is beautiful. I am 6.5 with 37 inseam. My head hits the roof and and I can barely get my legs under the steering wheel. I have an XK8R an MB SL63 and a 911 GTS which I all fit me comfortably. I would love to trade in my XK8 for an V8 F type SVR... but its made for small people... since its not an Italian sports car its an obvious design flaw. There does not seem to be any seat fixes either strangely enough.
I'm 6'2". My head sits in the well created by the Panoramic roof. I would not fit in the standard roof car. I don't know what I am going to do come track days, as the helmet adds 2-3". I fit fine in a 2001 Audi TT which is a MUCH smaller car. Had inches to spare over my helmeted head.
I am 6'2" and this is one of the most comfortable sports cars I have owned. I drive this car to my brothers house in Florida whis is 962 miles to his front door, the only time I stop is for fuel, almost 15 hours straight through and I feel great for a guy in his 60s. My Porsche 911 fit me the best, the Viper the worst, I removed the seat tracks and bolted the seat to the floor and removed padding from the seat, but I fit with a helmet. I guess it is how bad you want it.
I also noticed that the F Type may have different type seats, mine has the sport seats I think, they are thin, others I have seen online have a more padded seat, maybe that is the difference.
Anyway go to a dealership and sit in the car, that is the only way you will know for sure. If you want it bad enough, I am sure the interior can be modified to make you fit.
