F Type R Alignment
Guys,
I'm totally confused about this one. I scheduled new tires and a alignment for my F Type R at the jaguar dealer. I'm being told by the dealer they can't do the alignment because I have the Volocity AP lowering springs on the car, so I asked them not to install the the tires either. You guessed it, they already had installed the tires. However, they did ask if I can give them the angle for the alignment they will do it. Have any of you ran into this?
Thanks

If they need to ask you to provide the angles/specs, I am not sure I would want them touching it anyway. Likely some monkeys with a new Hunter Hawkeye machine trying to do it by watching the included videos??

The dealer most likely doesn't want to be responsible for possible abnormal tire wear due to out of spec alignment angles. The could perform front and rear toe, but without knowing the proper caster/camber specs for a lowered vehicle, they cant make the correct adjustments for the altered angles. Obviously lowering anything changes the suspension/bump steer/toe out angles. If caster/camber was even on either side or between differential spec side to side, I would just have them toe it and call it a day. Covering their *** is what it sounds like.
Yep...Here are Alignment specs on my drive just as FYI in case you need them.

Yes..., but lowering the suspension puts the camber where you want it for spirited driving.
At the expense of excessive wear on the inside edges of the rear tyres in most cases.
).
I did say "in most cases" Lance, as we all know you are a special case!
