F Type R Coupe Price Includes:
I was looking at the Jaguar website and noticed that the F Type R Coupe comes standard with the Performance Pack, the Premium Pack, and the 770 Radio, at the base price of $99,000.
When I price out a F Type 8S Vert with those options it comes out to $97500. So if I add the Vision Package to both cars I get $99,600 for F Type 8S and $101,100 for the F Type Coupe R. Pretty close for cars with the same options, right?
Yes, but the coupe is supposed to be $4000 cheaper than the vert. It is in the F Type and the F Type S at the base price but what Jaguar is doing is adding all the options into the base price of the R Coupe and not deducting the $4000.
For the missed $4000 savings with the F Type Coupe R you get 550 HP, the Torque Vector braking system, and a slightly different suspension.
It seems like a pretty good deal considering to get the extra 50 HP, upgraded suspension, and some carbon fiber on the XKR it costs an extra $32,000.
If you like a coupe it's a hellava car.

For that price, its a hell of a deal IMO!

Excellent observation. The XKR-S was way over priced for basically a body kit and tune. The XKR-S performance suspension was also offered as the dynamic pack on the XKR for around $7,000 and the XKR-S exhaust offered as the performance option on the XKR for $1,400.

I'm seriously looking at buying the new F-type R to replace my current XKR Coupe 2010 (which I love).
- Do you know when we can start to place the order ?
I understood that the car should be available sometime in March 2014, but would assume that orders can be placed before - right ?
