It sure looks to me that the car in question has those later seats, per this pic in the second linked article above:

Apologies Ftyperegistry,
they are indeed the later seats, I hadn’t properly read your post at #91 thinking that the first photo showed the earlier seats and the second the later, when in fact it was the other way around. Doh!
must look harder before commenting!
regards,

Hello Ftyperegistry,
I am a new user and hopefully will be purchasing SAJWJ6K87HMK43016 that is listed above, that is currently fairly local to my location.
I have been told the car has been in a private collection, never registered, therefore low miles and no history on the carfax report with only 2,444 miles on the car.

Do you have any information on the car? Original dealer?

Thanks for any information you have available.
DonL

I do not. With collectors car’s unless the owner themselves share it or by owning the dealer it was delivered to it’s very hard to get any info for the cars.
If your car comes with the window sticker it will show what dealer it was delivered to. I would also think that any Jaguar dealer can check the history for you. Even if it has never been serviced at Jaguar dealer there has to be some delivery PDI info on it in their internal system. Either way Congrats on your acquisition. Please share pics, it is the lowest mileage 2017 SVR I am aware of, apart from Exhibition/Auto Show SVRs that have been sold by Jaguar recently.

Hi, question for Ftyperegistry.
How much information is contained in the VIN no. of the cars appertaining to what options were specified?
for example the F-type I have just bought (Vin on my earlier post) is Ultra blue with CCB’s, which from Ftyperegistry’s previous post I understand to be one of only 20 made for the UK market.
My car was also specified with the full exterior carbon pack, a carbon roof and full Reims blue stitching to the interior including the diamond seat stitching, and diamond door stitching.
Are any of these details recorded in the VIN (or anywhere else?) so that you can tell if out of the 20, mine is one of say 3 or two or even 1 of 1 with these options?
would be really interesting to know if this level of detail exists in the records.
Thanks in advance.

You can get the build info for each car from the Jaguar Topix system. This used to be free but now you need a subscription to be able to retrieve the info.

Or ask a friendly dealer, if you can find one. Ask for the TOPIx Vehicle Summary.

I hadn’t looked at SVR listings in a few so here is a quick update in case anyone is looking:
There are currently 3 2018 SVRs for sale in the US. This is very uncommon as there are only 42-43 2018 SVRs still registered in the US out of the 52 that were allocated for 2018 MY.
1 - 2019 SVR
4 - 2020 SVRs
Also the only new 2020 in the US and maybe the world that remained - SAJDZ1FE2LCK64924- finally sold after more than 2 years of sitting in showrooms.

Absolutely gorgeous! You’re the second Black/Red SVR I’ve ever seen besides mine. Believe it is the rarest of all color combos with <5 in existence.

Here’s mine. We’re basically twins!

Default My SVR

Ftyperegistry this a serious body of work you’ve put together!
Do you have any information on SAJAL6846HMK42058? I bought her in 2018, one previous owner, but the infotainment and sat nav were set to German but she is right hand drive UK. Any information appreciated. Thanks

Looks immaculate! Did you ever find out what dealership it was delivered to?

Hi Herring99 welcome to the forum. Thanks for the pics. I don’t have any previous info on your SVR. I looked up its history on Jaguar OSH and it has always been in the UK so I am guessing the previous owner preferred German. Your SVR is one of 22 coupes in Ammonite Grey made for the UK for the 2017 Model Year

Thanks for checking, it was bought in the UK from Harwoods dealership in Hampshire/Sussex. Maybe it was taken to the Nurburgring or on the autobahn to test its speed? I was worried you might say it was one of the Nurburgring taxis. Do you have any information on them?
As for the paintwork I paid out quite a bit for detailing, I know the guy who does it and he said the paintwork allows quite a bit of correction.

Does anyone else take theirs on track? I don’t have ceramics and it takes what feels like forever to slow it down from 150mph

Yes I have some info on the Nurnburgring Taxi SVR was/is SAJAJ6844HMK34160 . This was also one of the SVRs used in the Geneva Motor Show for the SVR reveal. It was never sold after being retired from the Nurnburgring and it is on display at the Jaguar Heritage Museum. I don’t believe your SVR was a Jaguar corporate car as those usually show that on the service history.

Another of the firsts US press cars is up for sale. This one was the first SVR convertible in Ultra Blue delivered to the US Not too many press car miles ~2800 before being listed for sale as a CPO in 2017 https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...ar-svr-f-type/ Here is a pic from JaguarUSA from 2016 https://www.instagram.com/p/BK8l3mQB...dium=copy_link

Looks like I may have found an SVR I want to buy. I see that others have gotten maelstrom wheels directly from Jaguar which you can only do with an SVR vin. I LOVE the Maelstrom wheels and really don't like the other ones. I even looked aftermarket, but those Maestrom just really seem to be a perfect match.

Is that something online or contact local dealer.

From reading other related threads on here they had to be ordered from Jaguar previously. Not sure if that has changed. I did not find them as an option to order online at any Jaguar dealer’s online store.

So I have almost completed all the SVR color data I was missing. As I have mentioned previously The Topix system and OSH has never reported new colors or SVO Premium colors accurately. Instead it will show either a blank for Color/No Color Listed or something weird like Osmium or Black Amethyst for dark SVO Colors. Most of them have 2 or more values for color, for example Osmium can mean Balmoral Blue or Velocity Blue. No Color listed could mean like 4-5 different SVO Premium colors. So the only way to actually know their true color and finish (gloss or matte) is until I see a picture of them, Either in sale listings, old/cached dealer pics, or just randomly come across one in social media by car spotters or their owners.
I had not taken a look at how many SVRs i still had left with unknown color data until today and I am close so here are the ones I am missing in case anyone now or in the future comes across this thread once the VINs become indexed by Google search. I know it's a longshot, specially since the majority of these are not in the US, but in case any of these VINs gets searched in the future, hopefully it wil lead them here. Thanks in advance
